Earrings that stretch your earlobes

I am appalled by seeing people (particularly men) wearing huge earrings that fit inside of your ear lobe and stretch it in an unnatural way.

This permanently damages your earlobe and requires surgery to correct.

It reminds me of aboriginals in Africa who wear lip plates.

It's something I don't get but hey, there are plenty of things I don't get. That's ok. We can be good friends. On the other hand I live in a rural area and your earlobes freak my customers out you probably won't get hired.
