E-books: Eurocrats raid publishers

Here's a link to an article from today's (16th March) Guardian:

It's pretty detailed and wide-ranging and I admit I haven't absorbed all the implications yet. But it seems likely to be significant for people who publish or are thinking of publishing e-books.

Amazon is a great outlet, asssuming that you have your own editing, cover art and formatting departments. Elsewise, you need a publisher to do the traditional publisher tasks. Your publisher needs to make money to stay in business.
Of course, a government can't understand a business model without being taught the basics. I got a tire iron.
