Dystopic America under a violent military dictatorship

Take Karate lessons.

The tens of thousands of combat troops (per city) constantly patrolling the streets looking for nonexistent "terrorists" might take notice of people attempting to learn self defense. Most of the troops deployed into the streets and neighborhoods in our country will be foreign military. There aren't enough personnel in the US military to perform those duties, plus most of them would be unwilling to follow those kinds of orders or participate in this totalitarian nightmare.

I believe the system of government I'm referring to is called a "Junta".

One word: Capoeira.

I can't imagine a gang of foreign troops shouting at me in a different language for looking at them the wrong way or for being "suspicious" while trying to cross the street.

It's a wonderful world we live in, eh?
