Sadie was in the back of the car, taking stock of what they found in the last town. Wasn't much. A few bottle of booze, cigarettes, some basic first aid items, all of which she and her brother planned on using for trade if they come across another person or a populated area... It seemed like each town they came to resources were becoming even more scarce.

After zipping up her bag, she climbed back into the front seat. Her brother was driving so that meant she was in charge of navigating. Opening the map she tried to determine where they were going. The highway was not an option since most overpasses were unsafe to drive on- not to mention that 5 year old cars would block exits. They were off-roading.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Sadie asked her brother. They were headed right for a city. "Wouldn't it be better if we tried to find some people? Trade what we have and then try some more towns?"

People pretty much evacuated the cities as those were the first places to be attacked both with ammo and disease. Sadie doubted that 5 years later that there would be any traces of the epidemic but that didn't mean it was safe.

Name: David
Age: 23
Build: Athletic with brown hair with a farmer's tan.

David threw the car in gear as Sadie finish packing their supplies. "Well if there are people who won't shoot us, they will be at the cdc camps picking from the dead and abandoned." he replied as he turned off the main road. The five years were tough, from watching his parents die in the hospital to the first year of teaching her how to salvage and shoot, He dedicated himself to keeping her alive. And through all that he watches her grow and bond. "And if nobody is there more for us. How about some tunes to kill time. You pick."

Sadie took the que as the conversation being over. David had a point. She quickly looked for a CD that they hadn't listened to in a while- or possibly at all. Funny, she use to complain about collecting random things like the CDs, but they did help pass the time by. She popped one in leaned back into her seat as she thought about what was ahead of them. Hopefully they would be lucky and the city had running water. Probably not heated but at least she could take a shower.

They were on the road for an hour before Sadie could see some tall buildings. They had been away from cities for so long, it was almost like they were entering a different country. She wondered if there would be any people or if the city was abandoned. Either way, their luck was going to change to either better or worse.

"Maybe we can actually sleep on a mattress this time," she smiled. The last place all they had was the floor and some blankets. They could have slept in the car but that would have been too out in the open. The last thing they needed was to be attacked in their sleep.

The road began to get more crowded as they got closer to the city. "Keep an eye out for anything we can use." he drives slowly part the overturned cars. He scanned for anything, weapons, food, a better vehicle. In the distance there is a series of white tents in front of a hotel "bingo."

Trying to get there wouldn't not be easy. Luck for them he managed to squeeze the car through the broken gate, only losing a side mirror. As he parked the car he saw the tents full of bodybags. That's where he would have to start. "Alright why don't you look over there and I will check this out." he says as he points her away from the tents towards the hotel. He hands her his glock before opening the door to step out.

Sadie had already spotted the tents and bodies... How long have those been there? It looked like it was a mock up emergency care station... Turned into a body dump. It reminded Sadie how their parents didn't make it past the evac station when things first started to get bad.

Quietly she took the gun that David handed her. Hopefully she wouldn't need to use it. Her pack was on her back, hopefully she could find some stuff to fill it with. She headed into a drug store. The inside looked surprisingly neat, only one display had been knocked down. Longingly she looked at the food that had long since expired... Maybe some of the canned food was still good? That wasn't her main priority right now.

Sadie headed right for the back, in the pharmacy. She grabbed anything and everything she could. Drugs, antibiotics, bandages, etc. She was going to need another bag. The place was well stocked, which was surprising. People probably tried to get out of the city as quickly as they could.

Sadie started browsing around the shop... She almost forgot that the world had basically ended. For a moment, everything was normal. There was a few cans of food that looked ok. They needed to figure out a more perminate food situation. That would require staying in one place long enough to grow food.

Sadie was about to exit the store when a magazine rack caught her eye. A while ago she crept up behind David as he was looking at a playboy mag. He swore that he was just putting it back, but for a while she teased him. Her curiosity was starting to get to her though.

Stepping in front of the rack, she saw the same magazine. She picked it up and opened it. She knew naked women were inside it but she hadn't expected to see what she saw. These women didn't look anything like she did... Ok so she had the shape but these women... They didn't have any hair on their bodies, not even in their womanhood!

She had spent so long looking at the mag, she didn't realize how long she had been in the shop.

David watched as she walked to the shops before opening the trunk and grabbing his jumpsuit and mask. With the amount of death in the tents he needed the protection from getting sick. After suiting up he picks up his combat knife and his dad's 308 rifle and marched in.

The first tent was all bodies. Even with the mask he could smell the rotting flesh. All the cabinets were pilfered and left bare. He sighed as he stepped out and moved on to the next tent. He stuck his head into much of the same. Tent after tent were nothing but let downs. No meds, uneatable food, nothing. Throwing his knife towards the ground frustration took over, untill the knife hit the bumper of a humvee.

Looking inside he noticed some boxes. He tried to open the hatch but it was locked. After taking a minute he grabbed a metal pipe and after a few swings the glass have in allowing him to open the door. Inside was a treasure trove of supplies. In a big crate in the back were M.R.Es. with dates that had a good 10 years before going bad. And up front in the passenger seat laid a combat shotgun with a box of shells. "Perfect" he yelled as he emptied the contents. Looking around he saw a few more trucks with potential. He puts what he found in the car and sprinted to find his sister.

Sadie had moved on to other magazines.

This time she found one filled with naked males. She saw medical pictures and took sex ed when she was 13, but this was no text book. At first it was really weird looking at these pictures but after a while, her bashfulness was gone. That is until her brother came into the shop, looking for her.

She dropped the mag and kicked it away as far as she could. "Hey!" she spoke oddly high. She didn't think he saw what she was looking at, but she quickly started talking before he would even have chance to say anything. "Did you find anything?" She asked him as she shrugged off her pack.

"I got lucky in the back. Actually the whole shop is pretty close to being untouched." she unzipped her bag, unaware that he got his own loot.

"Well the tents were a bust but in one of the trucks had a crate of sealed food and a shotgun with some ammo. I think there could be more in the other trucks but the sun getting ready to set. Lets hit the hotel hopefully a clean room and call it a night." he tells his sister as they go over their haul.

As they get ready to leave the shop he noticed the messed up magazine rack. "So we're you looking fashion tips for the apocalypse." he joked as he turned to look at her. They were both due for a shower and some new clothes.

"Haha" she laughed nervously. "Oh yeah," She blushed not really sure what else to say. She was excited about the Hotel. Looked like it was one of those swanky places. Hopefully there was something more than staff uniforms inside.

With no power, the elevator was out. Sadie kept some flashlights and glow sticks. Maybe they could find some candles to use, just so they could save on power. Thankfully, finding the maintenance and laundry room was easy. After grabbing some towels and shampoos, they had their choice of rooms.

Sadie argued for the penthouse suit, but that would mean they would need to go all the way to the top of the hotel... by stairs... It was impractical in the case of an emergency, so they just took the ground floor. The rooms hadn't been touched. The beds just needed a quick change of sheets and then they would be good to go.

"I'm going to explore a bit. See what I can find." She meant clothes. The ones she was wearing were not only filthy, but she had grown out of them a while ago. Her pants were hugging her ass tightly, and she had a few rips in her shirt. If they were not going to stay on the upper floor, didn't mean that she couldn't see what might have been left behind.

It took her a while but she walked up the stairs. There was the occasional rat that scamper across the floor, but that didn't bother Sadie too much. She poked into some of the rooms. There were quiet a few that looked like people only just checked in- aside from the heavy amount of dust...

Sadie managed to find some stuff for bother herself and her brother. She gathered them and was about to leave the room when she noticed something sparkly reflecting the light from the window. It came from the closet. Stepping closer, she found a rather breath taking gown. It looked like it had never been worn before...

It was silly... completely immature and not to mention the sun was setting fast.... but Sadie couldn't help herself. What girl wasn't going to put on a fancy dress when the chances of her getting to do this were close to none? She peeled off her clothes, standing in an old pair of panties before she took the dress off of the hanger and slipped it on.

It was more of a ball gown than a dress... or maybe a wedding dress? Sadie wasn't sure. She just knew that for a brief and fleeting moment she felt like a princess, like Cinderella. The dress was covered in small white flowers and had layers of tule. Honestly, she didn't want to take it off.

She spun around, making the skirt and twirl.

Having cleaning the bed David jumped into the shower. The water was cold but refreshing as the soot and dirt went down the drain. It the freshest he felt in over 6 months. Going through the clothes he found a pair of lounge pants and a t shirt to wear. Walking around the rest of the floor he found a bar in another penthouse stocked with liquor. He ran his hands along the bottles finding a bottle of bourbon his dad used to drink. He grabbed the bottle and looked for Sadie.

Down the hall he found her twirling in the dress. He whistles as he watches her. "Looks nice but it's not really functional." He tells her as he enters the room. "Care for a sip?"

As soon as she heard the whistling she stopped, blushing bright as he caught her basically playing dress up. "Well, you know I figured it would be nice for one of the post end of the world balls. There is a dress code, you cannot wear that," She teased.

He offered her a sip what looked like alcohol. Sadie was surprised, she had never drank before. She took the bottle and first sniffed at it- she made a displeased face... she had a feeling she wasn't going to like this, but her curiosity got the better of her. Putting her lips onto the bottle, she took a swig.

"Ugh!" she scrunched her face up at the harsh taste- well harsh to her since she never drank liquor before. "Thanks, but I think I will try the bottle of champagne." she said as she grabbed the bottle that was sitting in an ice box with no ice.

Still wearing the dress, she picked up the clothes she found and as gracefully as she could, exited the room with her head high. She might have looked silly, but she wasn't done playing pretend just yet.

"Was there any hot water?" She asked him hopefully, but knew what the answer would probably be.

He smiled at her reaction to the drink. "Little too strong." he joked as he took back the bottle. He took a swig from the bottle, it was warm and stronger then the beers him and his friends sneaked when he was younger.

He helps gather the clothes she found. "No hot water. But hey cold water better then no water." he tells her. "Just keep the door open if you don't want to shower in the dark."

"Oh I'm taking a bath," Sadie grinned. There was a huge tub and she was going to take advantage.

They had been together for so long, modesty wasn't really a big deal. They didn't go around naked all the time but sometimes one person had to be lookout while the other washed in a stream or something.

Sadie, now in the bathroom, started to fill up the tub. She didn't care if the water was cold. While it filled, she had taken a glass and poured herself some of the bubbly beverage. It tasted a lot different than the bourbon, more soft and sweet. It was easy for her to drink a second glass before she turned off the water.

"David?" She called for her brother, her head feeling a little light from the alcohol. "I got myself in this thing and now I can't find the zipper!" She was referring to the dress.

David sat out on the bed digging through the clothes looking for cleaner linens. He found some new briefs along with a pair of jeans that he didn't need a belt for. "A pair of boots would be nice. Going to have to look in the truck tomorrow for them." he tells himself as he takes a huge swig of the bourbon. His mind began to feel the haze as he continued to drink. His sister voice snapped him back in as she called for help.

In the bathroom he saw a spread of all kinds of soap and conditioners lining the tub. And her trying her best to unzip the dress. "Here stand still I got it." he chuckled as he grabbed the zipper. It took a few minutes for him to undo the dress but he finally got it to unzip unvailing her dirty pale skin. Something began to come over him as she got undressed. Her body, that he seen countless times, had a more intimate and sensual aura to her. He capped the bottle thining he had enough for now. "Well princess if thats all I'm going to sit on the balcony and look around."

On the balcony David grabs the 308 and used the scope to looks down the way and around their new place. All he finds is mostly ruined buildings and toppled cars. Some of the looted shops could have overlooked goods in them that the could salvage but if anything of real worth was still here they would have to go deeper in the city.

Sadie let the dress slip off and hanged it on the back of the bathroom door. From there she slipped into the cold water. It might not have been as nice as a hot bath, but she didn't mind. Taking the wash rag, she started scrubbing at her skin. It was so nice to actually bath in water that didn't also have bugs and fish swimming around in it.

After a while, she was completely clean, hair and all. She drained the tub and started to dry herself off before finding an oversized t-shirt to wear as a night shirt.

Sadie had never drank before, so the two glasses were hitting her pretty well. She sat on the large king sized bed. Laying back she allowed her body to relax and her eyes close. The sun was setting which meant they should sleep soon. Getting up, she pulled down the blanket and sheets and then called for her brother.

"Bed time," The two had normally slept together for warmth but also because Sadie was terrified at the thought of waking up to find herself all alone. She slipped into the bed and waited for her older brother.

David opened the bottle and took another swig of the bourbon as he sat with the rifle in his lap. No action on they roads, the skies were clear and red with the setting sun and after his quick look at what was around them he knew they would be safe tonight. He heard his sister call for him for bed. His body agreed with her.

Entering the room He closed the sliding glass door and placed his gun next to it on the wall. His walk was unsteady as he really began to feel the effects of the bourbon. Heading to the bedroom he saw his sister waiting for him with a longing look in her eyes. "I'm coming sis." he tells her as he begins to crawl across the bed to her. "Was thinking that tomorrow after we eat you should head back to the pharmacy with more bags and clean out all you find while I go through the rest of the trucks." He says while yawning. He pulls the blanket around the two of them and instinctly spoons her. "Then after its all in the lobby I can see if they have a backup generator. Maybe get some lights on, get the elevator to work.... Maybe even some hot water." he whispers in her ear as his hand caresses her stomach. He unknowingly slides her shirt up allowing his fingers to glide across her silky smooth skin. The fragrance from her hair was pleasant and a little arousing given that for the longest time all he smelled was dirt and sweat.

Sadie was snuggled under the covers with her brother pressed against her from behind. She smiled at her brother's words. "A warm bath sounds amazing. Do you think we are going to squat here for a while?" She asked softly, but it was easy to tell that due to the alcohol she would be fast asleep...

That was until she felt her brother's bare fingers on her stomach. Her body jumped a little as she started into fits of laughter. She squirmed and tried to push his hand away. "That tickles!"

"Sorry sis." he says as his fingers traced her belly button. "We talk about that tomorrow. Lets just enjoy being in a bed tonight." his voice trails off as he falls asleep.

As he slept he had a weird dream. He was just laying in bed as Sadie straddled him kissing his chest. Her bare chest pressing against him. It felt good to him but it was wrong. He awoke in a sweat to her clinging to his arm. "Better lay off the booze." he says before laying back down to sleep.

Sadie made some soft sounds as her brother woke. It was a soft coo as she turned over snuggled against him. Her head under his chin as she breathed in his scent as she slept. Even asleep her body reacted to the smell of his clean skin. She pressed her body closer against his. It was all completely innocent.

Her knee rested over his leg and as the night continued and she got closer her leg moved over more. Every once in a while in the night she would shift more, holding onto him tighter in her sleep.

Even though the bed felt amazing sleeping was still a little tough for David. As she held him tighter her body pressed up against him her breasts rubbing against him. Even though it was his sister he couldn't help but get aroused. Eventually he fell back asleep just to revisit the dream of him and her entangled in an intimate embrace.

The next morning brought sunlight to the room. David groaned as it got his face waking him. He slowly slipped out of bed and found his way to the bathroom. He realizes as he pulls his briefs down his cock bounces out fully erect. After using the bathroom he couldn't help but tease himself with his hand. He needed a few minutes After this night.

Once he regained his composure he returned to the bedroom to change his clothes. Once he was ready he crawled back onto the bed to wake Sadie. "Time to get up sis." he whispered in her ear. He started to kiss her neck to try and wake her up. "We got work to do if you want hot water."

The kiss on the neck wasn't anything new. It was how David always woke her. His way of being affectionate and she welcomed it. A soft moan erupted from her lips as she stretched and allowed herself to accept that it was in fact the next day. A lot of work was going to be needed to be done if the two of them wanted to continue to stay there for the time being. There was still a lot more to explore.

Sitting up she rubbed her eyes and then lazily found clean clothes to change into. If they got power on, maybe she could get the TVs and other entertainment systems working. Not that they was any broadcasting in the world, but they might be able to find some movies they could watch. She could also maybe think of making up some kind of security system or something. They only had 4 eyes between the two of them. If someone else was in the city they might not know about it until its too late.

A yawn came from her again, "Ok. What should we do first. Loot or scavenge for a power source?"

"How about we eat." he replies as he leaves the bedroom. He opened his bag and pulled two boxes wrapped in foil. He read the side of the box to see what to do to prepare the meal. "Then I will look to see if I can find a generator and you should take more bags back to the pharmacy and empty the store out."

After breakfast he walked down the steps towards the basement. Finding the mataince wing he walked in with a flashlight he looked for any sign of a generator. He found the breaker for the building. Along side it was another box with a yellow blinking light between a green and red light. He read the label attached and found what he was looking for. He follow the instructions and after an hour of checking and preping he finally pressed the green light and he heard a hum. Then a flicker of some of the lights of the breaker switch from red to green. "Awesome." he exclaims as things begin to run around him.

Sadie had made no complaints with the packages meals. Compared to the past few weeks, it was like having a feast. Honestly they probably ate more than they should have.

After breakfast they parted ways. Sadie went back to the Pharmacy, grabbed some large storage bags and started piling as much medication as she could find- didn't matter what it was, she grabbed it and then took it back to the truck. She repeated this over and over again until the place was completely cleaned out in the back. On her last trip she had grabbed some more supplies for the two of them. Shampoo, conditioner, razors and shaving cream... David would probably want a clean shave since the last time he had one and Sadie was... curious.

By the time she got back to the hotel, she noticed that the lights were one, one flickered indicating that the bulb needed to be changed. There was even a soft sound of music playing in the lobby. As soon as she stepped past the desk, a hologram came on. It was of a man wearing a tailored suit for the time, bald head but a sweet smile.

"Welcome to the Grand Opre" The hologram greeted her. "Are you a new or returning guest?" He asked.

"Um... currently residing. We stayed last night."

"Ah, I trust the rooms were to your liking?" He looked hopeful, but then he looked confused. "I am sorry but I don't seem to have any memory of checking you in. Your name?"

Oh boy. "Um actually when we came in there was no power,-" She took a breath to continue but was soon cut off.

"Oh dear, how unfortunate! I am so terribly sorry for the convenience. Allow me to make accommodations for this horrible circumstance."

"That wont be necessary... actually I don't think you could arrange anything even if you wanted to. I think this place has been closed down for year..." Sadie then went on to explain to the hologram the events from the last 5 years.

"Oh... I see..." The programs responded as it processed everything in. "Well... I am programmed with the primary function to help and assist guests for the time that they stay here. Please let me know if I can be of service in anyway." The hologram gave a bow.

Sadie thanked him, "What do I call you?"

"My creator called me Johnathon"

"Johnathon it is," She smiled. "Um I am staying here with my brother. I don't suppose you can show him the blueprints of this place?"

"That information is kept in the Hotel Concierge's office. I can show you where it is but I am unable to turn on the computer... there is a chance that the network connection is damaged, I am not sure."

Sadie followed the hologram until she was in the office. It was huge and looked very 1920's style- as most of the building looked. Sadie started to get to work on tinkering with the computer. "Johnathon, can you find my brother and let him know that I am in here? And of course introduce yourself."

"Of course madame," Johnathon bowed before flickering off to find David.

David continued to tinker in the mataince wing checking for any info on the generator. Heading into the office he looked at an open terminal, he begins to skim through files.

"Hello there sir. Would you happen to be david?" a weird voice shot from our of the speaker.

"Oh Shi........" David blurts out as he tumbles from the chair he was sitting at. "Who said that?"

"Sorry sir look over at the screen." the voice said cheerfully as David walked back over to the screen. In a window on the side was a man waving back at him. "My name is Johnathon. Your sister Sadie asked me to find you. Unfortunately no emmiters were installed in this area so I could not meet you face to face. But since you got the power back online I knew you might be here."

"Ok what did she do." David said as he recovered from the scare. "Where is she at now.

"Concierge office at the offset of the lobby enterence. If you come the the door I can use the emmiters to guide you to her." He replied in a helpful tone.

"Okkkkkk." David said as he gathers himself up. And headed to the hallway back to the main area of the hotel. Once there he watched as Johnathon appear before him. David followed him to the The office where Sadie was staring at a screen. "Looks like we found a friend."
