Thank you power or powers that be, for the dictionary.

Nothing worse that a teacher who can't spell or do math. I can not see numbers or letters in my head. Not as words or problems.

So I get out my dictionary (which is sitting right here beside me so I can spell it right), and my calculator, and I fake my way through it. It works.

Sometimes.

I had a dyslexic friend who consistently did badly at university. His essays were always a mess and he would get downgraded as a result. We all kept telling him to notify the university of his condition as they would then make allowances. But the idiot refused to do it! All he had to do was fill out a form! .... Oh.

I got a kick out of the Larson cartoon about the school for gifted children, and the kid was standing there pushing on the door. Sign on door said pull...

I hate Larson. I hate Waterman too. How dare they take their talent and run away. They hooked us. There should be a law. You should be like Shultz, you have to do it till you die. Tough shit.

Dyslexia is not something to joke about.

I have had to work my ass off to over come Dyslexia and there are those that can't overcome it.

Ask yourself how would you feel if you had to try to translate everything your read because it looks backwards to you. It might not be life threatening, but it is still a pain in the ass to deal with.
