Dungeons and Dragons: The time of Dragons. (ooc and casting call)

Okay I'm a D&D dork and i've been running over this idea awhile now and would like to see if there is any interests in it.

I want to get an RP going based on the D&D system. I'm gonna create a world for this and think this would be interesting. First I'll start with a small town and the area's surrounding it. As we progress I'll have a full world built for you guys. I do have a basic premise of the world already set up anyway.

Its a mythical world of course, all the races will be available and abundant of course. Sexual encounters are allowed and can be encouraged but thats not what the game is going to be about. It will be a story driven world.

If there is enough interest i'll get my idea's posted right away. I plan to start working on the story tonight.

If everyone is honest i'd let you roll up characters or we can just use the standard point buy system with 30 points with all stats starting at i'll leave that option up to you. Now we can do this so we actually roll for stuff or we can just write the story either way could be fun and interesting. I'll see what you all think.

I was in Dereliction of Sanity's D&D by email thread, playing Ezmirylda Corvaran, a second level Frenzied Deciple that I rolled for his game, would you allow me to play her in your thread, as it appears that his thread has fizzled?

I managed to level her up to second level in his thread, but according to his wishes, I am not to have accesss to her 2nd level abilities until she is 'initiated' into a sect of frenzied deciples in an all night dance, drinking and orgistic ritual...

yes you can use her. I'll even allow you to be a 2nd level but you'll have to come up with sufficient back story for that!

The back story was my adventure in DoS's thread. She carried out a mission for a black market witch, bringing vials of acid from an alchemist back to her to sell in a large town. Along the way we fought giant spiders. I got most of my experience from my role playing, want me to share the link?

I did pen and paper D&D for a very short time (nor more than three or four months, once a week) and I still have the character sheet. Unfortunately, I don't have it with me and won't for at least a month. In the world of D&D, I'm a rookie. Hell, I don't even have any of the books. But I do have experience with another D20 based game as well as the experience of RPing here.

If you are willing to postpone the appearance of my character until I get the character sheet, I'm interested in joining. Not like I have anything else to do at the time being.

So the level 200 character I've been making for the heck of it is to big?

I was in the same thread as Raven. I'll pull over my character a fighter druid with pretty much the same back story. Down to what ever excuse we have to leave the big city and come here.

Both characters were made from stat rolls although I know DoS had me raise a few of my stats to match the rest of the party.

I found the level 1 character but I will have to re add the second level.

Drec came from a small town to the far north, where he was a town guard. Unfortunately a nest of wyverns moved into the area and the town quickly became deserted. He needed to eat so he moved south, eventually stopping in city. There he met Ezmi, a wizard, and a sorceress. The four recieved a job to pick up a package and return it to the employer. The group met several challenges along the way, most notably the death of the sorceress after a spell misfire and the aqusition of a Dwarf named Thor. On the way back Ezmi aquired a horse, Drec found service to Ehlonna, and Thor found a good dwarven tavern. Not finding work after some mishaps in the sewers, the group split up although Ezmi and Drec traveled togeather.

His goals range from simple to complex. First off, he wants to be well fed, paid, and taken care of. Next off he wants to start a family eventually. Finally, he wants to solve the problem of the wyverns and start his home town once more.

What Drec doesn’t know is he was born a Gypsy slave like his father, after his birth his father took him north, left him with some old friends and then led the presuers away. Securing Drec a life of freedom.

Um, I wouldn't worry about the too big thing. Last I remember is that he was level 3, with two levels of sorcerer and one level of fighter. I'm working on making him a dragon disciple. Size wise, he is pretty big for a sorcerer, at about 6'+ and something like 200 lbs, all muscle.

Sounds like level 2 is a good average then.
