Dune - mini series in the uk

being shown on the sci fi channel this week ... its on right now the first part is repeated on this saturday though


its very good a lot better then the film because the story isnt changed from the books


what do people think of it that have seen it its one of my fav sets of books and i really enjoyed the mini series

Sexy Girl,

The Dune series that was made for TV is in many ways different than the movie; much of the sets have a much brighter feel to them that I like better, and the special effects are better. Not as funky a look as the original.

It misses some of the things that the original had - but it has been so long since I read the series that I don't know which is more faithful to the books.

the mini series is WAY more faithful to the book then the film ... i've seen both and read the books twice


i also prefer the actor that plays paul in the mini series compared to the film ... however i think the film has a better look perhaps ... the film had a lot more money spent on it then the mini series


on the whole though i think the mini series is way better then the film
