We've been over this innumerable times. There is no need for voter ID cards because there is no evidence of widespread voter fraud, and the regulations Republicans have proposed would disproportionately make it more difficult for elderly people of color to get one (because they're less likely to have a valid birth certificate among other things).

It's a strawman argument to take advantage of illegal votes. YB is trying to convince us that elderly people of color who lived in the U.S. for perhaps more than 60+ years have never had an opportunity to get an ID and if born in the U.S. have never had a birth certificate.

It's a progressive smoke screen to canvas the general population with mail in ballots and then not require proof of citizenship or signature verification.

Voter ID’s can be required by state law. The Supreme Court decided that years ago.

That by itself does not remove the possibility of election fraud, it just means there wasn't one big abnormality substantial enough to overturn an election, it's fraud by many small abnormalities. Pennies grow to nickels, nickels make dimes and so on. Death by a thousand irregularities is still death!

My point is, there are enough irregularities in our states voting systems that further investigations would be a prudent action to restore integrity back to our elections and remove the doubt that has existed for decades. Millions of Americans on both sides of the isle have voiced cheating occurred during elections and these courts could have taken a closer look at what's going on without going so far as to overturn an election. Evidentiary hearings could go a long way into to cleaning things up. Forcing states to clean up their voter registration rolls before allowing retail mail in balloting would be a significant step forward.

Legal 101...in order for there to be a hearing, evidence must be brought forward...otherwise there is no "merit" for the case to proceed.

Evidence is evidence. Trump's legal teams, the RNC and several state AGs presented evidence and challenges. Validation of evidence is the responsibility of the courts and the courts in almost all the lawsuits dismissed cases arbitrarily either for lack of standing, refused to initiate evidentiary hearings or claimed it was too late in the process throwing the cases out of court.

I'm sure these State AGs as well as Trump's legal teams were very aware of rule 702 and 703.
