This thread isn't about what I like or dislike. This thread is about Ninny P's refusal to put forward a bill that the Republican Senate will pass. She's putting her pride and ego above the welfare of the American people. My own personal opinion has no bearing on what Congress does. (Get that through your emotionally congested half-brain.)

This is about Ninny P's refusal to aid the American people, as a whole, because Democrats believe that "corporate" America needs to fall unless controlled by the Democrats.

McConnell wants protection for Businesses, Corporations, Schools, Employers and Other Institutions against frivolous lawsuits, with the exception being "gross negligence" because gross negligence isn't frivolous. He's correct in demanding this. This is a bill designed to help Americans, and yes, that includes the entities that Americans set up to keep people employed.

For far too long, the Dems did pretty much always capitulate and try to meet the Republicans halfway, only to have the Republicans refuse to give an inch. I believe this is because at the end of the day, Democrats want the system to work even if they don't get their way. Republicans don't, they hate government and couldn't care less if it doesn't work. I'm not at all surprised that some of their supporters literally define compromise as "you give us what we want, end of story". I'm glad to see the Dems seem to have finally found their backbone.
