A couple times I have done an update and my text messages have started coming to both my phone and iPad.

Is this just something dumb I have done or something other people have experienced?

Thanks!

You have syncing turned on through I cloud. I believe in settings and then phone or iCloud somewhere you can disable it.

Settings > Messages > text message Forwarding > turn them on off

Same with phone and FaceTime.

When someone calls my iPhone, it rings through to my iPad and I can take the call via my iPad. I can also make a call from my iPad, as long as my iPhone is active on the same local wifi network.

It’s not something I configured. It just started happening with OS9, IIRC. The first time it happened, it spooked me good, but now I take advantage of it all the time. I believe it’s because I used the same Apple account to initialize both devices.

My iPad also decided to grab my iPhone as a mobile hotspot all by itself.

I'm so dumb I should have been clearer, I know how to fix this bug but.....

I was wondering if this would be a believable way for the babysitter to find some dirt about the married couple she sits for. Sounds like it is good enough for kind of smut I peddle.
