"Dueling Samurai"

is a challenge similar to GUNFIGHT,
I have several PMs with a passion
for this type of challenge. I too enjoyed it
and am looking forward to more 'shoot outs' <grin>

I only hope to make additional/more
of this type of fun! Any suggestions
or challenges are welcome. My thoughts were
to challenge others to a duel and set
a date and time and enjoy!

I am unsure if the gunfight thread is sticking
with the friday night time frame, I will ask
but for the most part ... I figured WEDNESDAY
Mid week, seems many get busy and gone for the weekends
and spring thaw coming <grin>

Who's interpretation of haiku would we be going by? 'Cause, apparently, everything I've ever been told, taught, or have read about the form is in error and I'd want to make sure I'd be playing by the same rules as everyone else. <g>

Du Lac vs Ninja

when : how about wednesday night around 8 est
(subject to change upon ya'lls shedule <grin>

what: a dueling samurai duel ... 30 minutes to write
a Haiku ...subject given at that time, after 30 minutes
the two poems are displayed but the judges get 24
hours to review and the results posted when all three
judges have replied.

Average gina and ? (seranade)
will do the same only a poem in prose
freestyle whatever <grin>

well that's a great question, I have had several interpritations
back fire on me too, Haiku basics 5 syllable 7 syllable 5 syllable (correct?)

I'm not trying to get out of it, but if two other people decide they want to do the poem part of this, that would be good. I'm not sure what my life will be like Wednesday (yup, I'm living just that statically) so I may end up not showing up on Wednesday. I will be more sure tomorrow.

Haiku

Haiku is a highly structured form of oriental poetry.
Each poem has three lines. The first line contains
five syllables, second line contains seven syllables
and the third line contains five syllables.
Traditionally haikus are nature based subject wise.
