A close friend of the squirrel (and totally real source) told HuffPost Weird that his buddy was on a bender, having recently gone through a divorce and forced to take out a second tree mortgage. His kids never call, but still come by once in a while to take his acorns.

I had a parrot that like cocktails. She would fly down and help herself. I had to tell friends not to let her drink. Drunk birds are not cool.

I also had a dog that liked beer. She would knock over beer cans to drink the spill. Once again I told my friends to watch out for that. Drunk dogs are not cool either.
