So I took one of the smaller New York Strips I bought today and seasoned it. Roasted Garlic and fresh minced Onion with just a touch of balck pepper. I put it in the fridge and let it sit for a while.

Grilling it was easy. A couple of minutes per side and this two inch thick slice of lean beef was ready for the plate. It mooed when I stuck the fork in it.

Medium Rare Steak, loaded Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans made the meal.

The steak was tender enough I could have cut it with my fork. Juicy and tastefull. The Spuds were mashed with Roasted Garlic, minced Chives and crumbled Bacon. The beans were alas frozen. They were added to boiling water and the water was allowed to heat to boling once more. As soon as the water started to boil the beans were dumped out and coated with a light dash of Balsamic Vinegar.

Oh such a feast.

I scored some Ribeyes the other day - crusted with Montreal seasoning, baked Potato with my Chipotle Ranch, and Brussels sprouts with Butter, it was glorious. The only thing that could have improved it would have been some Dungeness Crab.

Meat good. :)

I've been experimenting with new marinades. I want to be able to eat a steak without the need of A1. I infused a mixture of applesauce, cumin, chili powder, and all spice into a ribeye. I wish i used in the grill instead of broiling it. Needs some work.
