As you may know, I am a bisexual black male. I am always a top with men. I am also the aggressive sexual partner with women, usually. Still,
I had a dream a couple of nights ago that I was with a man. A man I once knew, actually. A flamboyant gay dude named Hank. I dreamed that we were about to do it and I was gonna be bottom ! This is strange because I don't do bottoming at all. I've never done it and I have no intention of ever trying it. Yet......I remember the dream being pleasant and right before he was about to do me, that's when I woke up. I remember feeling like it's something I was looking forward to or something. This is strange because Henry is not someone I like. We didn't get along. He was a weirdo !

Why did I have this dream ?

I think there's a hidden fantasy (if not a desire) to switch roles here. Most gay/bi Top guys I know have all expressed this to me. What is wrong with that? Similarly, predominantly "bottom" guys also have expressd the opposite, that is, taking the role of a "top." I think it's all relative in this case, to experiment and take things a little more flexible. Don't you want to explore the bounds of your pleasure? You won't know unless you try it. Do you believe in dreams?

From a psychoanalysis point of view, you may feel somewhat guilty that you're always a top because you don't think your sexual partner gets any pleasure from being a bottom. It may have had nothing to do with you at all actually wanting to be a bottom.
