Looking for story from a while back where a man is the subject of government experiments on lucid dreaming but ends up using his new found power to plant the idea of sex in women's heads. The story spirals from there into a larger narrative including him falling for the lab director and the need to cross a spiritual bridge of some sort. I remember reading a long time ago, maybe mid 2000's
