Dragon Age RP Ideas

Hello, fellow writers! As you might have surmised from the thread title, I happen to be a fan of the Dragon Age game series by Bioware. I've been craving a DA themed rp, but have yet to find a forum specifically devoted to it (that wasn't dead or simply not user friendly). And so, I'm dropping a line to see if I can snare any like-minded writers out there.

I would prefer the setting to be during the time of Inquisition. I do not wish to play any canon characters, but rather an original character. Maaaaaybe the Inquisitor, but really, it'd be more fun to simply play someone that's simple existing in that world and time frame. In regards to genders, I am comfortable playing both females and males. Always submissive of some flavor, as I'm really not a dominant personality. Not to say I can't play someone with attitude, because I can, but I will not be the dominant force of the story. It just isn't for me.

As for race, I prefer Elvhen or Human. Preferably, your character would be a male of either of those two races. I know, not so adventurous. Sorry, loves. I might make an exception for a Qunari (because The Iron Bull is made of awesome) but we'll cross that bridge, if we come to it.

Now that I've said a mouthful, please feel free to toss any ideas you may have in here, or even pm me.

There are all sorts of possible rp plots.

-Protect the Mages from some twisted monster. Monster was created by Tevinters... or someone else. Your character recruits others... maybe some love triangles form, etc

-King of Ferelden send our characters on a suicide mission into deep roads... or some other nasty place. This is kind of a suicide squad only middle ages skill...

-King sends our characters out to explore an uncharted lands...

-There is a second blight...

As far as character types... I like to play all sorts. Male, female, Human (mages, fighters, etc) or non-human (elves, Qunari, dwarf, etc)

Ooh! Lots of interesting ideas. My initial thought was an Elven mage captured by Tevinters. Possibly Venatori. Ran away from Redcliffe maybe? When Alexius and company arrived and took over the village.

Perhaps your character is a Templar, or one of King Alastair's men? Or both. Someone sent to assess the situation and report back. Or he got separated from the rest of the rest of his unit and stumbles onto the campsite of the Vints that have my mage?
