I was going to post this in the 'How to' forum, but it seems a little full of clit piercings, dildos and deep throaters, so I decided to post here instead.

I would like instructions on how to make a draft PM and hold it in my 'draft' box until I'm ready to send it out. I'm sure it must be easy, but for the life of me I can't figure it out.

Does anybody know how to do this please?

Why not PM yourself, then either paste into a new message or forward the thing when you're ready.?

I don't know if there's a fancy way. AOL has a 'send later' option with email. Hotmail too, I think.

Thanks Pure, I'll resort to that if I have to. I do have a 'drafts' folder. Just haven't figured out how to get things directly into it.

Wish I could help.

Alas, I am a poor illiterate....or so "they" keep telling me.

Seriously... I have no idea... just thought I would be here for moral support.

I see now.

Click on folders, in a blank box type 'draft'.
the 'edit folder'.

There is now a 'draft' folder.

Then back at 'inbox' select the message at the right (check), then set the little window at bottom to 'draft' and click on 'move', then message will be in 'draft' folder. Now to get back to your draft : go to inbox, adjust the upper folder menu in the little box to 'draft, select the message in 'draft' and click on 'forward' and you'll get a message ready to forward that can be massaged further and addressed to the person. Then 'send'.

I think that's it. I guess it allows keeping several files, for the truly organized, as I'm sure you are.

Nothing to it!

software is designed by demented sadists

So there's no way of drafting a PM without having to send it to myself first, to then be moved into the Draft's folder?

Dunno, I draft all mine in a text editor first =)

Raph, unhelpfully.

That's my impression. The thing has to enter the system, as it were. There is no 'buffer' 'clipboard' or waiting room. I can't see a place for 'non messages' to wait and/or be massaged.

The 'draft' folder doesn't know it's for drafts! it thinks it's for completed, received messages of a particular type.

As soon as you click on 'new message' the thing has to go somewhere, and I don't see how to make it go to 'draft'.

I even tried started in a pre existing message within 'draft'. But to 'get to' the text and work it, I have to choose 'forward' so I don't see how to keep something in draft and keep massaging it.
Maybe you can figure a way to start in 'draft' or in a pre existing dummy message there.

Personally if have a text that I see can't be PM'd without more work, I cut it from the PM and paste it into a 'write' box for email; then either send it to myself, or put it in 'waiting to be sent' (email). If the delay is short, of course I can leave the window open for a while, and not actually 'send.' So I do the massaging within the email text box, then finally paste back into the PM system. Sounds like Raphy does that.

Sorry that's as far as I get with the problem.

WSO,

I haven't tried this, in fact I usually make sure I uncheck the box.

Am I correct in thinking you have the the same message, with slight edits that you need to send to different people?

How about - Send the first and leaving the Save a Copy option ticked? Which is sent to another folder from where you can presumably retrieve it.

Never done this, so I don't know how it works.

Yes what Gauche suggests should work...i never unclick the save a copy box as I am very neat when it comes to my PM box..i keep it tidy and so delete things several times a day :D But a sent item is a savced copy of a PM you've sent......so you can edit it a bit and send it on....

i always just write it out in notepad and copy paste it into a pm, then save the notepad file on the puter for future reference if needed honey, but then it has to be simple for me or i'd cock it right up:D

now how do i get to that forum with all the dildo's and deepthroating, giggle.

lorri xx:)

Thanks for all your help and suggestions. :)

I was hoping that I could use the 'draft' idea as an initial 'write it up' kind of page, same as using a text editor, the difference being that it would be kept off my system.

It looks like I will have to resort to using the 'send one to myself' idea, then transfer it into the drafts folder.

Seems a longer way of doing things though. I was hoping for a quicker way whilst editing.

Still, I'm happy with the sending/saving/transferring option. :)
