What is really disturbing about this, is that Dr. Oz' background as a crank and grifter probably will not cost him any votes in a Republican primary.

Not if you look only at his academic credentials. But that's not the issue at hand, and you know it.

The same Dr. Carson who claimed to have been offered a full scholarship to West Point? (There is no such thing: West Point doesn't charge tuition, you pay them by joining the army after you graduate.) Again, it wasn't about his academic credentials, which were indeed impressive.

That the right-wingers ought to get over her use of a title she has earned fair and square, and maybe ask themselves why it bothers them so much.
