Downloading Pictures

Why can I download most pictures from the ameatur board but a few of them will show up blank when i open up the file. Thanks

1) mabey your view don't suport that type of image
2) (Though I don't think many people know how to do this i use to but forget) mabeyt he picture has a virus in it so if someone trys d/loading it it erases.

Pictures don't contain viruses. They can be corrupted tho...but I imagine Fly on the Wall's first guess is right, that you can't support that file type...another reason could be that the file has been lost/deleted on the host's (Lit's) side.

The only ones I seem to have trouble with are Mae 13. In the new thread she started on body parts I could only get one to show up after I saved them. I use I E and right click on the image and all the other pictures in the threads seem to be okay. Any help would be appreciated. Im new at this stuff. Thanks

You did save them to your computer? Is there a chance you saved them all with the same name? A default name pehaps, if you did this a pop up would have appeared that asked if you want to overwrite the file. If you didn't save them locally there is a chance that Mae has removed them, she has had problems here recently. I kinda discount the unkown file type, all of Mae's pics are jpegs, so if one opened the others should have. There is also the possiblity of file corruption as noted above.

I saved the pictures to my computer. What I can't understand is it seems only to be with hers. All the rest are okay. what can I do about file corruption. Thanks

mae removed nearly all her pics a few weeks ago maybe you are trying to download deleted pics?

Since you saved locally it kinda narrows things down. As a couple of have said Mae had to remove her more risque stuff for personal reasons, but since you saved them that shouldn't be a problem. Does the program you use to view pics give an error message? or does it simply not show them? The program I use, IrfanView will show a message that says file type unknown or unable to diplay-file header is corrupt. For corruption you need to run ScanDisk or a similar program, there is a chance you may not be able to recover them. Also, forgive the question, but is it possible you are opening a shortcut to the file not the file itself? If so the file may have been moved.

Yes I know she removed a lot of her pics but the latest ones she has on her are mild. I use quick time to view. and I don't get a message. Just nothing there when I open the saved file. Don't understand why all the others are okay.
