Downloading pics?

I have recently downloaded some pics that end with ".art" but I can't open them. What graphics application do I need to open them. Help?

I have recently downloaded some pics that end with ".art" but I can't open them. What graphics application do I need to open them. Help?

*.ART images are a proprietary AOL image format. There is a patch for IE available to add .ART support. You can get it from the Windows Update site.

Once you get the image open in IE, select "SAVE AS" from the file menu and save the image as a BMP (the only option available) and you can use most image processing programs to convert it to JPG, GIF, or other format you might need.
