Does anyone know a way to download entire stories. I have a very rural internet connection with a metered connection.

Loading one chapter at a time uses that bandwidth quickly.

All help greatly apreciated.

Alas, multiple chapters and stories can't be directly downloaded from LIT using Web protocols. A piece at a time, a page at a time, and that's it.

A workaround that might not suit you is the LIT Android app on a tablet or smartphone. You would need a (cheap) WiFi router -- or leech the signal at WalMart or a McFood stop. The app can pre-load 11 chapters and/or stories, any size.

That's the best I can suggest. Good luck.

Try the moblie site

The "old" internet aimed at fast connections and desktop computers with large monitors eats bandwidth like crazy,

So much, that it overwhelmed phone screens and data plans. Thus came the new "mobile" internet. It's now so mainstream that a site needs to have a mobile version or Google will push them down in the rankings.

Try using the Literotica Mobile Site. The pages look a bit different, the search results take more pages to display, but the overall data sent should be significantly less.

If you're not happy (and I prefer the desktop version, even on my phone), you can always go back to the old version. Or remove the "mobile." or "m." from a URL in the address bar and then click the "go" arrow or button.

PS: This "mobile is sends less data" thing generally applies to any site.

PPS: If Lit slows down when I'm reading, I often immediately go to the bottom of the first page and open subsequent pages (drop down list) each in a new tab. Then I read page 1 while pages 2, 3, ... are loading, and just switch tabs when I'm ready to see the next page.

Actually it doesn't do that anymore. Get a smart phone with unlimited data, the phone will have to be an Android phone.

Good idea you have there!

I suggest getting a phone from Wal Mart or somewhere similar. I use Straight Talk. It's cheaper then contracted phones, both the phones themselves and the cost of usage. You'll have to buy data each month. There are a variety of prices depending on your preferences. You could also buy a physical card or even order data off the internet. I used to read Literotica on the Straight Talk's cheapest data plan before I got wifi. I suggest you invest in a smart phone with a big screen. Oh, and whatever you do, don't ever get an Apple piece of crap. Overpriced garbage that barely works, that's what Apple stuff is.

You are writing the stories in a text processor, aren't you, and not writing them directly into the box on the submissions page, right?

I open the story in my text processor, select "all" and then "copy." When I go to the submissions page, I simply put in the title of the story, put the cursor in the box, and then paste the the whole thing into the box. Shouldn't take but a second or two. The tricky part is previewing it, which obviously takes time, particularly if it's flagged a lot of errors. I don't know if you defer that, copy the whole thing into another file, and inspect it at your leisure, and then log back onto the site. Haven't tried it.
