(My bubbly, optimistic response)

...when somebody you've never heard of before emails you, compliments your work, and asks you to r&r their work?

I feel like dancin' when...

...my perspective alters and i see life through a different lens.

A compliment is a breath of fresh air, but being asked to comment is a compliment that lasts for a good while.

... that one word that has eluded me for hours slips quietly into my brain and makes the sentence I'm writing sound just right :D

I dance when:

I finally write the last word of a story.

The SASE enclosed with a submission returns with something other than a rejection.

When it rains softly in the summer

warm wet rain and I want to go out and "sing and dance" in the rain.

I also get that feeling when I see a child small, someone who rarely smiles bubble over with laughter to a joke or I see an animal doing something funny.

The story is not a long drawn out labor but it blooms in your head. The images unfold like petals to the sun, and you need only to display it properly, rather than week after week of weeding feeding and shoveling fertilizer on it.

at least you get yours sent private like:(

Still the EGO now causes my ears to be grazed going through doors:p

I'm so happy I could dance I just to my first story on lit !!! more to come:heart: :rose:

You make new friends on the internet and they are great writers...but wait...it's even better when they compliment you on your stories and help you improve future ones:D

Yeah, doesn't happen often Q, but when it does, soak it up!

Oh believe me, I do. In between those rare occasions, I self-promote to win me another audience: those who know I'm easy.

I also feel like dancin when...I get a glowing feedback, even though it's from a friend, because it was nice and made me giddy and eager to reread my story and compliment myself on what a damn fine job I did.
