Little evidence of antifa links in U.S. prosecutions of those charged in protest violence
Wed, 10 Jun 2020 12:37:17 -0400
By Sarah N. Lynch, Mark Hosenball, Mica Rosenberg and Brad Heath

meanwhile in st. paul, police had already a few days ago linked 40 arrested for violence with right wing extremists.

I'm thinking they'll find more evidence of MAGAhats.

trump probably won't give a shit

his policy is to toss out such crazy remarks, get people repeating them as retweets and talking points to work as a distraction, and then move on to the next garbage. then he can come on camera/twitter and state 'lots of people are saying...' truthfully whilst ignoring the fact they're saying it because they heard/saw HIM say it!

there are also studies about something that's said first, spoken like a fact even if it's a downright lie, will be retained and believed by more people than the resulting claims of mistruth. something to do with the positive comment coming first (no matter how big the lie) and the human brain is more ready to accept that.

fortunately for america (and the world), some people are educated and smart enough to get past that initial instinctual impulse and listen to those who actually know what they're talking about.

Who are Sarah N. Lynch, Mark Hosenball, Mica Rosenberg and Brad Heath? It seems to me that's just lazy reporting, to refer just to who is being prosecuted and to draw conclusions from that.
I'd rather rely on reporters who were on the ground, and there was no shortage of them talking to trouble makers of all political stripes.

Is there any real reporting going on any more?

If anyone thinks Trump or his base give a shit about truth then you simply aren't paying attention. Like at all.
Dude is quite likely to be re-elected and nobody has learned a damn thing.

What's really SWEET of y'all
is that while I'm stupid, I'm
also the one who has heard
the DOJ say that the dearth
of arrests is due to building
a case against the leaders
and the organization...

But y'all carry on in your defense of the indefensible
and your shame (and hatred of) the President that
you directly got elected by shouting at others words
like stupid and deplorable imploring them to stfu
because they so mentally injured your intelligence
and offended your civilized sensibilities.
You're really coming off as something
that everyone wants to vote for...

... or against ... again ...

;) ;)

Trump is doing a terrible job with his tweets
because he's conflating legitimate, peaceful protesters with home-grown terrorists.

But the Left is just as bad.
rae, they just occupied Seattle Police! With little recourse from their Mayor.
How can this be anything other than far Left domestic terrorism??

But he does have a point.
Without the tweets the press and people like rea##### and Turd
get to define him and frame him and the more outrageous he is,
the more thunder he steals from the point they want to make.
As in this case, they don't give a shit about the truth,
but they feel justified in calling him a liar.

He's the consulate pitchman, conman, sleigh of hand man...

Every time he goes off on tangent selling himself and his policies,
I just keep anticipating the,
"WAIT!, but there's more!
"If you order now, I'll throw in..."

:D :D :D

ETA
And I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that FBI/Intel were the ones who warned about Antifa's involvement.

It seemed just as surreal /crazy, when American Intel warned about China's covid coverup.
But crazy seems to be the rule nowadays.

I get your point about the Left,
but Trump needs to hire a PR firm to do the talking for him.
He just doesn't have the skills. Like hogjack said.

Honestly, after listening to his moronic "covid tutorials"
I can't give his gaffes any more excuses, nor can I interpret them as some statesman deflection tactics.
And his tweets don't influence just America.

It got him elected.
What should he do, turn to Romney?
Losers need outside help to become winners...

“Corrupt politicians scared us into giving up control over the most basic questions in our own lives,” Carlson declared with aim directly at Democrats, even though the White House is held by Republican Donald Trump. “At the same time, they gave more power to their obedient followers like Antifa, while keeping the rest of us trapped at home and censored online,” Carlson asserted

Despite such claims by Carlson and the former Celebrity Apprentice host, the anti-fascist group, which have become an obsession in FNC and GOP circles, has not shown up so far in any of the Justice Department cases of those arrested for looting and unrest following Floyd’s death.
The DOJ can’t say if Antifa exists or not. Maybe we should defund the DOJ.

The FBI, under criminal and cross-dresser J.Edgar Hoover, denied that the MAFIA existed.

President Trump often fails to take advantage of numerous PR spots. These matter. President Obama - who did terrible things like spy on politcal opponents - was very good at optics and visuals.

Even Rep. Nancy Pelosi's extremely clumsy "dress as an African" and kneel down stuff works on some people. Anyone who thinks those white, rich lawmakers really gave a shit the answer is no. But they will do ANYTHING to stay in power. Yes, it's lame and extreme pandering but pandering works. OK, it didn't work for the ultimate pander queen, Elizabeth Warren, but it works for others

President Trump should utilize the best marketing minds available. The world is visual with short attention spans. Exploit that. Use it to help people. Go to them. Hugs matter. Words matter. Action matters.
