When you are turning off your own supporters because your 95 minute, wildly meandering rally "speech" is so beyond the pale with insults, public ego masturbation, racism, and flat-out dumbfuck craziness, you just might be doing something wrong.

But then again, the rule is "Let Donnie be Donnie" no matter how many times he shoots himself in the foot with his own mouth.

"On Trump in Albuquerque" by Michael Lowery, Silver Hills, New Mexico:

I’ve been listening to Trump ramble on incoherently on the television at his “rally” in Albuquerque this evening. He doesn’t seem to have done his homework regarding New Mexico on any subject except oil and gas. We produce a lot of it. Of course, most of the profits go into the coffers of oligarchs like himself almost anywhere but New Mexico.

He mentioned the manufacturing jobs we lost in New Mexico under “Obama” a number of times and how he had brought our manufacturing jobs back, plus much more since he’s been President. Manufacturing? In New Mexico? He spoke of one of our counties that he rhymed with, “banana” and how Republicans are going to take it back along with the entire State of New Mexico in 2020. I’m not certain what county he may have been referring to. He mentioned how well he did in Michigan: a lot. Michigan? At a rally in New Mexico? Isn’t that where Flint is located and so many auto plants have been closing since his election?

I believe he really lost the enthusiasm of the crowd however when he boasted over and over about being more “elite than the elite,” having more and bigger houses than the “so-called elite in Washington,” having more money, having gone to better schools than they, and bragging about not being afraid of “them.” Many people, even the hired sign holders behind him in view of the camera stopped clapping as enthusiastically with these remarks. When the camera panned the audience there were notable pockets of non-clapping, non-chanting participants not holding up their provided signs quite as high as they had at the beginning of this debacle.

When he remarked about how much he loved, “his Hispanics” and how much they loved him and understood drugs and crime, “better than most” the downward slide became a palpable avalanche. I thought I could hear crickets beneath the “Boos” the crews tried to engineer out in the sound booth, but it was there: the profound disconnect brought on by mass confusion: “What did he just say? He’s better than anyone else? That doesn’t sound right!”

Saying he had no “Indian” blood, but wished he did because it would give him at least ten more points in the polls brought on embarrassment, then surprise, and glares, with more crickets in the background behind the cheerleading that failed to drown out the grumbles and the angry faces in the crowd. Promising to bring back the “Pocahontas” taunt for Elizabeth Warren got the cheer leaders going on cue, but fell on many a deaf ear and heart at this point.

The idiocy was pervasive and mind numbing throughout the ordeal, so much so that I fell asleep to the moronic, empty monotone along with a few older folks accidentally panned by the cameras in the crowd. My chocolate lab woke me with a lick asking to go for a walk. The first thing I did upon waking from my stupor was to turn off the damn TV and Trump’s disgusting, boasting monotone before taking Norman outside into the beauty of the Southern New Mexico Mountains.

There, a chorus of crickets accompanied by thunder and lightening explosively illuminating the ghostly trees and rock formations surrounding our house greeted me and brought me back home to my heart and soul.

Trump doesn’t have a clue.

Never seen so much desperation to find racism....pathetic.

What desperation? It's right there in (pardon the terminology) black and white. Will it help if we put it in another color for you?

What desperation?

The regular claims that things that aren't racist at all, are racist.

When he remarked about how much he loved, “his Hispanics” and how much they loved him and understood drugs and crime, “better than most”

Nothing racist about that.

Saying he had no “Indian” blood, but wished he did because it would give him at least ten more points in the polls brought on embarrassment, then surprise, and glares, with more crickets in the background behind the cheerleading that failed to drown out the grumbles and the angry faces in the crowd. So shitting on progressives and their race obsession and posers like Rachel Dolezal, ooops I mean Elizabeth Warren, is racist??

In what world??

You need to go look up the word "racism" because you obviously don't know what it means.

Good grief, BB. Did you not read that observation or not watch clips from 45's rally? He was blowing his dog whistle more often than a hunt master would with his pack of Beagles chasing rabbits through the woods. Just because you want to pretend you didn't hear those toots doesn't mean they were "silent" to anyone else.

He was even attempting to claim some kind of inexplicable imaginary "support" by using lines about "Indians" and resuscitating "Pocahontas" as a spitball slur in a state where 23 Native American tribes make up more than 10% of the the population. That's about as tone-deaf to your own words as it gets.

It's also very interesting that the only thing you chose to address from that original post was to whine about a perceived "racism only" bent to it. Perhaps you could re-read it and cherry pick one or two of the other half dozen or so points where the author of the piece pointed out Donnie-T being off-the-rails and "debunk" those also?

.

Lol

What a complete idiot.

Oh, CF is definitely talking about Cheeto there, no sweat! ;)

I pretty much assumed that, but thanks for confirming it. :)

"I don't have any 'Indian blood' but I wish I did..."

I can almost hear Sarah Palin in the background saying: "Yeaaah, buddy! That sure otta git them thar redskins runnin' outta their tee-pees and beatin' hooves to the polls like they're attackin' a wagon train to vote fer ya'. Good job!"

.

To be completely fair, southern New Mexico is pretty conservative, normally the only dependably Republican part of the state (although it elected a Democratic representative last year). Then again, the fact that Trump feels the need to shore up his support in a place like that...

Ahh...."dog whistle"...I'm glad you could admit the "racism" is imaginary.

No, he was trashing progressives and their bigotry....he's right if he was he wouldn't catch anywhere near as much heat.

Shit talking and being 'tone deaf' =/= racism though.

Seeing as you're interested why don't you pick??

I've always had my suspicions that sooner or later, some Republican would slip up and say the N-word out loud, and when that day comes, the usual suspects will find a way to rationalise it as "not racist". Trump's use of "Indian" and "Pocahontas" is pretty darned close to that, and sure enough...

The only place where there's "imaginary" things going on is in the excuses you are offering up in the attempts to explain away 45's dog whistling.

I guess not, so long as you ignore his use of "Mexicans are rapists" "My African-American" "My Hispanics that know all about drugs & crime" "Indian blood" "Pocahontas" "Mexican judge" et al, etcetera, and almost ad infinitum since the summer of 2015.

Nah, you're a big boy, BB. Just pick any two you think you can offer up a respectable defense for and we'll go from there.

But, but, but...it's all just shit-talkin' and ball-bustin' doncha know. Just Donnie being Donnie. He doesn't really mean anything by it. ;)

Facts aren't excuses. ;)

Dog whistle = it's not really what I say it is but I'm desperate to ascribe what I want.

The fact that you can't point to any actual racism doesn't make it a 'dog whistle'.

I guess not, so long as you ignore his use of "Mexicans are rapists" "My African-American" "My Hispanics that know all about drugs & crime" "Indian blood" "Pocahontas" "Mexican judge" et al, etcetera, and almost ad infinitum since the summer of 2015.

Well if you pull sentences apart and out of context anyone and everyone is just as racist as DJT!!!

He never said "Mexicans are rapist"....that's an outright lie.

"My African American" .....pulled out of context, you should be ashamed of your dishonesty.

"Indian blood" and "Pocahontas" are jabs at a white woman for pretending to be American Indian.

And on and on and on.......like I said, when you pull peoples words apart and out of context? Everyone and anyone is whatever you want them to be.

Nah, you're a big boy, BB. Just pick any two you think you can offer up a respectable defense for and we'll go from there.

.

You requested it, if you can't pick one of the half dozen or other so points you allegedly see in the article where POTUS was "off the rails" then I guess there weren't really any of those points. ;)

Um....not even close to the "n word" ...can't help but think of Chappelle on that one.

Anyhow, also knowing what the word racist means isn't a rationalization of anything.

Just because you and so many others use it as a buzz word for "anything a 'progressive' doesn't like" doesn't make it so. In the real world the term 'racism' has a very specific meaning. Kinda like 'privilege' another regularly abused word by the left.

racism noun
rac·ism | \ ˈrā-ˌsi-zəm also -ˌshi- \
Definition of racism
1: a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race
2a: a doctrine or political program based on the assumption of racism and designed to execute its principles
b: a political or social system founded on racism
3: racial prejudice or discrimination

And no, clowning a white woman for pretending to be an American Indian so she can collect on benefits just doesn't make the cut.

But, but, but...it's all just shit-talkin' and ball-bustin' doncha know. Just Donnie being Donnie. He doesn't really mean anything by it. ;)

.

He does mean stuff by it, just not the meanings YOU want to ascribe him after you pull his words out of context or just outright lie about. ;)

BBoy is in kindergarten. He thinks in today's day and age people like Trump couldn't possibly be racist if they don't use the N word in every sentence. Or say "I hate black people, ok?" Or "I'm a racist, deal with it."

He thinks we're still the US c. 1910 when POTUS could invite the Klan into the White House.

Racism today is code and is dog whistles from elected officials. That's how it's evolved. You can't get away with what you could a hundred years ago.

HOw do you know a dog whistle is not imaginary? A dog comes running. And that's exactly what's happened.

The only place where there's "imaginary" things going on is in the excuses you are offering up in the attempts to explain away 45's dog whistling.

Not at all...Carnal Flower continues to make up lies while hiding behind her iggy button, scared of different perspectives and ideas.

So much for diversity being a strength.

it will be interesting to know just how much cold water he pours out about this whistleblower problem on a phone call thing he has now going on.

Probably will be hidden under a lot of other stuff so you forget about it. of course with him you never know it could just be another way to hide something else.

His tweet on this asked who would believe he was capable of breaching national security on a telephone call so many (like the whistle blower, for instance, :D) were listening in on. Shows how detached from reality the crazy man is. :D

"Actual racism" .....what do YOU think that looks like in daily life?

Takes on a number of forms.

Any speech or action that indicates an individual holds the belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race.

Espousing any policy positions that are founded in such beliefs.
