Done to death?

I ran a few searches but nothing really "appropriate" came up on the keywords I tried.

I have this idea for a story and was wondering if it's been done at Lit, and if so, done to death?

A woman (young, old, whatever), or even a man, is hired by a large company to more or less be its "whore". That is, there is no "sexual harassment", no "force", no cases of "accidents" or "misreading signals". The woman (or man) is hired to sexually please others.

There's a couple/few ways this could go, also. The person could be the "deal sealer" with clients the company is trying to get... She/he could be the personal "play thing" for the president/CEO of the company... She/he could more or less be "used" by everyone in the company... And so on.

Any other ideas from others here? Is this a common theme already? Was I just punching in the "wrong" keywords? lol

i'm not very conversant w/ what has/hasn't been done. if she's hired as a company resource however, i'd imagine that includes any staff. if you're after a little verisimilitude, i'd easily see a small import/export office having someone like this to entertain clients, esp those from overseas who may lack the awareness of traditional US HR practices. :>

I'm pretty sure I've read a few stories similar to that...
but I'm sure you could make a new and interesting twist on it.

there are many stories of sex to get the job, or 'whoring' becoming a sales technique/way to keep job/way to get promoted.

hard to find one though where it is an express condition on hiring. that angle would make it fresh.

Actually I've read a couple similar stories, not that many are expressly as you've put it. I can think of two like that, one was a maid in a hotel and the other is as you put it, hired to sleep with people for the company.

So it's been done, but should be done again.

The other story I mentioned I can't remember who wrote it or what to look up, but just do what sir mentioned. You can also add in "slut" the stories I can recall reading along the same genre as bedtime is talking about usually refer to being an office slut.

- A secretary bent over a desk taking dictation while her boss is behind her, um, "dicktating" while he dictates...heh.

I think my point was there are so many that you need to decide what variation appeals to you - incest, loving wives, bdsm, group.......and browse from there.

I love this idea it has a new twist that I have never explored I am not sure on how it would work in the reality of the story (yet) but I will look at it.

When you say done to death do you mean literally as this would be a snuff story or do you mean for it to be a story about a woman or a man that is used to the extreme.

by " done to death" we mean an idea which has already been done in so many variations that no new twists could possibly revive it into an interesting story.

Really good writing can always make a story interesting, no matter how often it has been done before.

Heh... I love scenarios where a girl continues going about her duties while the guy has his way with her. Be it paperwork, cleaning, talking on the phone, etc.

Oh yes it could. Just think what Edgar Alan Poe would have made of it! Or Isaac Asimov for that matter.

well, Asimov did have a way with cyborgs gone bad...

I doubt Poe would have done a good story out of that, it most likely would be another The Telltale Heart or some such. He was a rather morbid man, I guess part of it was the drugs.
