"Home sweet home."
Yep - that was the mansion that slowly welcomed me towards the horizon, which after driving for twenty minutes through the busy streets of San Francisco was a sight for sore eyes. This view was of course familiar to me, seeing I lived here my parents about six years ago before I pursued my own career and moved away; essentially leaving them with my younger brother, Jacob, whom I took care of for most of my life. I pushed those thoughts aside for a moment, as my eyes glanced very briefly at the sky; it was a clear summer day and the sun was shining as brightly as possible. Thankfully my car was practically new and the AC here was impeccable, otherwise I'm afraid that the hot mid-day sun would burn me up something fierce. All this said, I wasn't feeling particularly exhausted; the ride from the airport was comfortable and I hardly felt the jet-lag from the flight from New York.
The gates opened for me, pretty much assuring me that Jacob was inside and noticed my white Lamborghini driving close by. Granted, I would have been able to open the gates from the outside if I had kept one of the remotes, but unfortunately I didn't when I moved out. Oh well, I'd just pick one up from my dad's office once I got inside. I was going to stay over for a few days with my brother anyway, so I figured that I needed a spare for myself if I would get out for a while and tour the old neighborhood tomorrow or something.
Though, not everything here was just as I remembered. Why were there so many cars parked around the front yard? It was my brother's birthday today, and he was sure to invite a few of his friends over but...this was too many.
I parked my car once I found enough space, or at least enough to be confident that no one was going to bump into my vehicle when they'd leave towards the gate. I carefully glanced around my space before taking out my purse from the backseat, my eyes quickly taking note of the several young adults hanging outside my old home, near the fountain, smoking some cigarettes as they chatted amongst themselves.
I opened the door of my car and stood out; the sun already heating the bare skin of my thighs, at least where my denim shorts didn't cover. My light pink top covered most of my torso and bust up, though it was an off shoulder top, so the sunlight was shining on my bare left shoulder, worrying me that if I would not get inside fast, that my pale skin would be a victim to sunburn.
I shielded my hazel eyes for a moment, trying to see if Jacob was with the group of eighteen year old I saw earlier, before deciding to hurry and make my way inside, while the wind slightly breezed through the curls of my long brown hair.
As I approached the front door, I was thankful of the lack of cleavage from my top, seeing as that would probably just attract the attention of some of these dumb eighteen year olds while I walked by (although, given the light fabric of my bra, my DD cup breasts bouncing slightly with every step). I just wished that these four inch heels weren't so annoying to walk with over the slight hill leading up the main entrance.
"Isn't that Nikki Miles?" I heard a young man ask his friend as I opened the door. Yes, I was somewhat known for my modeling career. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't so incredibly famous...yet. I did some small-time stuff via Tumblr, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook though, and had a decent fan base. I modeled all sorts of clothing but knew damn well that most of my fan base was composed of some...aroused, young men. Well, I suppose that some of these pictures practically begged for attention. Like these two, which were my most viewed photos:
"Yes boys, I know that I have a fabulous rack and backside."
I wasn't going to complain; it wasn't as if I was getting hit on in person, everyday. Now while I was easy-going and generally very passive, that was one thing that I probably could stand for long, given the fact that I was very happily engaged to Jerry, my manager. There was a lot that I could say about him, but most predominantly what I loved about him so, was that he was just the sweetest guy in the world. In fact, he had no problem with the notion that we were going to spend a few nights apart this weekend, given that I wanted to catch up with my brother; not to mention watch over him while our parents were away on business trips this summer. Yes, my parents were exceedingly wealthy, but being the entrepreneurs and venture capitalists that they were, they traveled. A lot. So much so, that I knew that this summer Jacob was going to be alone a whole lot, given that both mom and dad struck many deals recently.
Anyway, I made my way inside and felt refreshed by the cool air here...not to mention refreshed by the fact that at least this portion of the mansion wasn't crowded (though judging from all the noise, everyone was off in the living room, the backyard and the pool).
"Well, at least the place isn't a mess."
Finally, I noticed Jacob coming down the stairs and waved to him with a smile. He smiled back and came over to me. The first thing that I had to ask was:
"Jacob? Who are these people?"
As it turned out, Jacob invited over just about four of his friends. It was supposed to be a simply get-together; they were going to play some video games, eat junk food and just hang out. Unfortunately, someone informed their entire senior year and by the look of things, they all showed up. I shook my head and said:
"Well, you might as well go have fun. Socialize a bit, you know? I'll be right here if you need me. Now shoo!" I playfully said, smacking his shoulder as he left towards the living room. Oh well, the silver lining here was maybe this party would bring my brother out of his shell.
My heels clacked on the wooden floors as I made my way to the kitchen, which in retrospect wasn't as crowded as the hallway. I opened the fridge but saw that it was nearly empty - those dumb kids were probably emptying this house of all the food, drinks and maybe even the liquor. God, what a mess we'd have to clean up tomorrow...
