Can anyone point me in the direction as to where I can get some training to become a Dom or even a Master someday?

Thank you.

Thank you.

Many real life BDSM groups offer some sort of training...in Austin we have SAADE (School for Advanced American Dominant Education)

www.houseofsaade.com

They have a one year training and mentorship program and only accept 10 members at a time. It's intensive and very well done. You get hands on experience in all the sensory skills, impact variations, bondage, and learn dungeon monitoring and safety.

Check out the lifestyle groups in your area.

try reading some Dom/Sub stories from Lit and see what they do...copy their actions, what they say, and then try making up your own!

This is a funny little thread.

Who would train a Dom and how?

LOL, lots of people....F does if and when someone is interested enough to want to learn and seems to have a good head and heart for it....LOL, and I get to be the guinea pig.

I read somewhere that some of the best Doms were subs in the past...
Dunno if it's true though.

It seems sort of counterintuitive to me - I mean, a true Dom personality submitting?

I think maybe it would work if one was a switch...

It's a circuit, so if you can receive, you can give.

Makes the most sense that if you know what you want, you know what to give.

A sub is not going to stay with you unless you give them what they want. Not a healthy one, anyway.

If you're a sick dom, you'll only be able to keep a sick sub.

I was in the Marines for 4 yrs and took orders. Does that qualify?

Actually I think that would.

I think it's important for everyone to have an experience with service and doing things you have to do. It's a mark of maturity to be able to handle these experiences whether you find them unpleasant or not.

I'm increasingly beginning to feel like anyone is capable of anything, and I get less tolerant of the "I won't because I'm a Dom" or "I won't because I'm a sub" every day. I think I'd rather just be someone who could do anything she set her mind to at any given time.

That's pretty tight.

LOL, I can relate.....I have learned anything is possible if you flick your mindset into where it needs to be. From a slave/sub perspective I find it very useful to remember can't is not a possibility if he insists he wants me to achieve something, no matter how difficult or how long it might take....it is possible because it is his desire and order and what I feel is secondary, though he may take it into consideration in giving time or finding ways to make it happen.

"We" is always primary.

If he's being a spoiled moron and insisting on something impossible, being alone is eternal.

One would hope you knew who and what you had submitted to before getting yourself in that position....not really into on again, off again, let me tell you what I am going to do type submission personally, but it works for some. :p

Net is right anyone can do anything they set their mind too, but it is easier if they have made the decision to achieve it as oppose to someone else making that decision.

For me, thats when my submission is tested.

I do want to achieve things he has asked of me, but sometimes they seem harder to achieve. This can be due to a number of reasons including lack of motivation or finding the right frame of mind in which to work.

I know its about pyls putting PYLs first, and in sexual terms thats often very easy, in non-sexual terms it can be more difficult.

People have other agendas in life, family, work spiritual needs whatever. When those clash with a PYLs expectations it can make the task harder.

I am not talking about anything specific that has happened between Andante and I, just my general observations.

I can relate...as he says, knowing I at least try on some level, mentally or otherwise, means more than robotic submission. LOL, we have projects we are still working on which have been a couple of years in the making....I am determined to get there, just not sure when or how yet. :D

Catalina :rose:

I agree with all of you. If someone puts their mind to something they generally can complete it.

I mentioned in another thread that while I was in the Marines, most people don't think they can complete a task and find out they can. I also wrestled for 6 yrs (and coached) and believe I am who I am because of that.

I know the feeling of not knowing how or when but lasting years!

I hope not, I will drive us both crazy if I take that long over the things he has set me so far!!
