Dolf is considering putting up an ad on alt.com, and we were discussing what she should put, and whether it should be realy serious or just kinda joking. I thought that we should ask you all, see if anyone has some good ad ideas. And yes, I asked her permission first. Wadda y'all think?

How about a bit of both? So the underlying seriousness is there, but with a humourous flavour.

like what? how do i sell me without looking like i'm selling me

You could just hop a flight to Wisconsin and avoid having to come up with an ad...

Seriously though, I have a terrible time at this. If I were any better I might have some responses to the ads I've put up.

Why should dolf have to advertise? There should be a well worn path of suitors to her door.

Best thing that worked for me was being myself and giving an impression I was serious and not just looking to see how many replies I could get. Worked wonderfully and I found the best man I could ever hope for......and if it had not been for the way I worded the ad, he would have been turned off by the thought of 16000 kms separating us and never bothered to email me.

There a plenty of wanna be's with no experience who wanna just cyber. There are a few serious ones, but they didn't work for various reasons.

I was thinking kinda in between, but humor is not my forte. I like the idea of her interviewing them, though.

Hmm... Dolf knows the ad I put up at Yahoo (yes I know it's awfully vanilla compared to alt.com ;) ). I'd have to say being myself has been working quite well. :) So I vote for being as you as you can possibly be. You have to worry less about someone "reading between the lines" for your switchyness, though. :)

Mnd yes I've met 2 Doms so far who figured me out through my ad. Had a very long date with one yesterday, and hope to meet the other one soon. *giggle*

Congrats on the date! And good luck on the other. Could you give us a link to look at your ad, so we could get some ideas? Cause I'd love to see what you put in a vanilla site that would clue in a dom.

Actually, I would have picked the comparison of ice-cream flavours...

That's a great ad, and definately works well for Yahoo.

For alt.com though, reading between the lines isn't quite so much of a requirement.

A bit of humor, most definitly. But also a bit serious as well. I think both work well.

close to giving up...not a clue what to write :(

this was suggested...

"female, switch but leaning toward submissive, funny, a bit naughty, needs to be taken in hand."

.....?

This was my ad on Adultfriendfinder and lavalife.:

I am a single woman in my 40's looking for someone to share some intimate and intense moments. And Long-term companionship.

I am an adventuresome, passionate woman who loves to laugh and loves to be slowly seduced. I love to travel, read, play softball and do yoga.

I am looking for an male who is patient and understanding.

I am looking for a “take charge” kind of man, who will also be a gentleman, understanding, honest, patient, nurturing and respect my limits and wishes. And I will respect your needs also. I would like someone who is honest, sincere, intelligent, tender and open minded. You must have a sense of humor.

I am looking for a serious relationship. You must be single. , please, I do not want to be the other woman. We never know where life (and emotions) leads us to. No head games please. No drugs please and protection is essential.

If you enjoy a woman with curves and would like to join this ride please send me a note.

All in favor of taking up a collection to ship dolf over here to the U.S. ...Signify by raising your hands...Errr That doesn't work online, does it...Hmmm a simple "aye" will do.

If you are really looking ...keep it simple honest and to the point. You dont need a 65 pg essay on yourself , if someone is interested they will respond, then you get to know each other. kinda almost like dating? anyway, just be you.
