The makers of US cartoon family The Simpsons are facing legal action after Rio de Janeiro's tourist board complained about an episode that made fun of the city.

So if Rio wins, does that mean no one's allowed to fictionalise any city worldwide?

Uh-oh!

I think it'll be hard to prove that there's any potential financial connection between Rio and the average Simpsons viewer. Unless I rob that bank.

And here I thought the two episodes of them going to Canada then to Rio were two of the best in the last few years..

Although like others, I've seen so many shows that it'd be hard to come up with a top 20 list and not miss more classics!

Sheesh!

C'mon Rio, it's satire. I guess they lost their sense of humor when Carnival ended in February.
