The original definition of dogging is spying on couples having sex in a car or other public place, with observation being encouraged. These days there are often multiple participants, and can draw a fair size crowd to places where it's known to take place.

I think dogging is another thing that covid has pretty much put a stop to for the time being.

We drove past a local layby that is well known for dogging a couple of nights ago, from what I could see there were several cars parked in there. As my wife said, why else would a number of cars be parked in that layby on a Sunday night?
