The difference in volume, when altering foods, is negligible. Their diet is geared towards what works best for their health, and I wouldn't dream of cutting out their fresh vegetable content just to save on a couple of grams worth of scooping.Well there is your problem with regard to volume.
Your solution to that problem seems like it should work.
backing onto the woods sounds ideal! If I lived remote enough, leaving it wouldn't bother me. But here, i wouldn't dream of not picking up after them when we're out and about. Even in the woods, I wouldn't want someone having the misfortune of stepping in my dogs mess. Two large dogs here. The lawn (rather large) gets mowed every 5 days. It just gets mulched into the grass. It's not noticed, so I guess it is not a problem.
My former dog, the properties had woods in the backyard. She was trained to go in the woods. She was quite adamant about going there and she never did her business on the lawn. She was also trained to be off leash.
There are companies that come and pick up the poop. Not sure what they do with it.

Wtf? Why would anyone think that's ok?I have noticed in my travels usually on a Saturday or Sunday morning did the pricier he zip code, the larger the dog.
I figured wealthier people can afford more dog food, pricier vet pills and a bigger yard for the beast.
My neighborhood, it's always pitbulls for security or Chihuahuas as pets. One each on my lot. The two families involved seem to be of the impression that poop is magical and it just disappears. They don't seem to notice that I'm cleaning it up. The pitbull appreciate it though and shows his appreciation my making sure that he poops primarily just off my front doorstep to make it convenient for me.
That's a lot of work and a lot of space!
If you want to help the environment...suck it up...they're your dogs
Stfu, thanks.
I already posted links to the styles I was considering, which took up considerably less time and effort once in place. Thor's suggestion was a joke. On the other hand...
If you PM me your home address, I have another thought on what to do with the shit.
