Maybe, I just want to bitch here, but it's Friday evening, the work week should be over. But nooo...he's still working.
Our time together is great, I know he's working on a big project, but dammit, I want him at home. And I know he'd be here if he could, so I won't bitch about it to him, so I thought I'd just gripe here. Maybe read some gripes of others, too..Misery loves company, right?
Anyone else have this problem?

the opposite

You should be happy that he is working. My wife has been ill for and has not worked for the last 2 1/2 years.
I would definitely take the long hours problem instead of the NO hours problem. :)

I'm sorry to hear that, thumbs. I know there are many more serious issues than I have. I'm feeling duly contrite now.

sorry

I did not mean to put a downer on your evening. I know what it is like to be lonesome and miss your SO. I was just giving you the bright side of the cloud to look at. :)

well... he's not my SO anymore, by my decision.. even though i'm seriously reconsidering this right now (i dont know why.. things wont really work long distance if he goes to florida).. but he's working late tonite so he can have off tomorrow and spend the day with me since i would really like to talk to him some.. maybe try and figure out what happened and where things blew up in our faces

i work fairly irregular hours....tonight i was on afternoons but am on call till 7am so i will probably not sleep well. i never do when i have the beeper....i will be here for a while i think;)

I work until 3:30, my SO starts at 4 and goes until 3am. We don't need much child care this way, but hardly see each other at all. Before the boy, we overlapped more and just passed notes all week long. It sucks, but our time together is that much better.

He doesn't have a real set schedule so it changes all the time. He is in business for himself and involved in music, so the variablity can be trying at times. I work 9-530, 4 days a week. We get family time together, and like you, storm1969, we don't need childcare. Why have childcare when you have two parents?
