I think I would write them and find out the story. Something does sound a tad fishy with this, although if someone isn't yanking chains, or the place isn't covered in cameras then it would be a steal.

I agree. And it could be semi legit/scam thing, like was posted above, cameras everywhere, a commune, a lonely desperate person... who knows.

But judging by the listing, the place has everything, I think it's a fake.

S'alright. You didn't do it. I'm probably going to stick around Iowa for a while, get a couple jobs, rack up a few hundred more bucks before I move on.

Additionally, if I stay in town, I'll be able to keep in touch. I can use the computer lab and still be able to have regular contact.
