Does the literotic chat program ever work

Just curious as a new-be to this site. Does the online chat ever work? I always receive an error message indicating the maximum number of connections has been reached.

Just keep trying, vary the time inwhich you try to log on, you will eventually get logged on.

And if you really need to get in there..... Click OK, then click your refresh button in your browser. If you're on a windows based system, you'll get the pop up window that says the page cannot be refreshed, it must be resent. Hit retry, and it'll automatically resend the info without having to go back to the log-in page and retype your log-in and password. I don't do lit much anymore because it's a pain to login most times and because of the clueless wannabes and machine gun blind pm-ers. Sadly, I usually go in when I'm in a bitchy mood and feel like nailing the pm-ers to the wall. Or when I'm looking for someone that I haven't seen in a while and miss them. According to the girlfriend of a mod, the reason you get that message is that the chat side was running amuck and there was no way to keep any semblance of civility in there. They were burning up mods at a fierce rate. So the chat program is now set to accept only a certain number of chatters. The only ones who can get in after that are Blue or reasonably adept hackers. (Who usually get caught, since at least two of the blues are reasonably adept hackers....) And no, they can't let you in after the limit it reached, either. It's pretty damn sad that a small but 'noisy' asshole contingent screwed for everyone.

*shrugs* The BDSM social room seems nice enough..... If with a lot of hugging, damn you can't go two minutes without everyone breaking into a hug orgy lol.

Still, it's nice and small, averaging 10 people at once.

I've never managed to get on the chat thingy. I've tried quite a bit and for me it's just not worth the effort. Hm, anyone want me to start an IRC chatroom on BDSM-Net server? I think that will be easier to manage and have the people who prefer chatrooms more than forums be able to talk in a proficient manner with the forum-user regaulars.

For those who know how to use RC already. For those who don't, I will write up a tutorial or someone else can while I set up things like registering the chatroom and whatnot on the server.
