Does The Board Read Like 'Chat' To You?

sometimes I stop in and read the threads and I wonder if I'm on a BB or in chat - and I don't even go into chat.

Does anyone else feel this way?

To my mind the board is a hybrid of both. Some threads are obviously chat threads while other flesh themselves out over a period of days or weeks. I think this is a natural extension of having so many people active on the board.

I am probably guilty of "chatting" on the board but have become somewhat fonder of PMs(when they are working promptly). Having said that, some threads would be better served in chat and I wonder if the participants know about messenger conferences or even the Lit chatroom itself.

I'm in chats all day, have been for years and i'll agree with you, some of the threads are more like a chat room, with batering back and forth

but i've seen a few that someone brings up a question and people answer...... then that turns into a chat after it's hijacked lol.

I do agree with modest, though...some threads have only two or three people sending out posts to one another minutes apart.

Those are just pm's shared with the rest of the class.

but isnt part of why this place is good is that there are no rules really and people arent too fussy about how you post ? (as long as you can spell)

I was registered with the chat before I was with the BB. As soon as you get into the chat rooms you are bombarded with a/s/l? Ugghhh drives me nuts!! On here you can voice an opinion and not have fifty differant private boxes coming at you!

Personally, when I start a thread I am hoping that there will be sexy bantering back and forth. Makes for a fun read and it's like inviting people in your home and making sure they have a good time.

Everyone on this board, for the most part, behaves themselves and it makes for a nice mix of conversation and flirting.
