Does Spelling really matter?

I can too. And I do hate the anal spelling cops on here. I mean, when you are havong a C-O-N-V-E-R-S-A-T-I-O-N with someone do you actually think "Gee, I wonder if they are spelling the words correctly in their heads?"

BTW, you left out the period at the end of your sentence. (being sarcastic) :D
Spelling buddy says, "having"
 :nana: ;)

I don't care about spelling. As long as I can understand the person, I'm fine.

We're here to socialize, I think it should be a more relaxed environment.

I totally agree!

Come on now. It might not be the latest news, but it is interesting. And relevant too, considering that whole threads have been devoted to people’s spelling mistakes.

But only if those words are sight words.

The reason that works is the same reason why speed reading is possible.

I used to be able to speed read. I still can and very fast but my comprehention sucks anymore.

are you some kind of fucking moron?

big ass political socialogical statement? you mean that load of pretentious bullshit you concocted to make yourself feel like you actually think of meaningful things?
Nope, just reeling off things disscussed in my Politics and International Relations Seminars at uni...

Had a large debate on it and no one had any soild arguments agasint it... basically those who disagree and indeed people who use vulgar languge are just afraid of being chained and caged.... your not free, just controlled

If you like I can talk about the propoganda model of the operation of the US media as devised by Noam Chomsky

also, color and labor are not incorrect spellings. the usage of the "u" is accepted as optional.
the spelling of "color" and "labor" are incorrect spellings, as they were created because not enough people in the US colonies could spell colour properly... so instead of teaching people, they just changed the spelling. You can look up infomation about Noah Webster if you like
