Sometimes chance makes for a better picture than the one intended.

This is the picture I (sort of) intended to take, the one that follows is the one I actually "took"

My hunting buddy and I were outside, testing the limits of the flashes on our digital cameras. (note: digital RCA CDS1005 cameras are only good out to about 8 feet with the built in flash.)

In trying to keep his dogs from sniffing the camera whil I was trying to take a picture, I held it at arms reach above my head and snapped a picture. My buddy just happend to attempt a picture from accross the patio at the same time -- out of flash range for his camera, as it turns out, but not out of trange of the flash from my camera.

That second picture is excellent, but as u say wouldnt
have worked without the first simultanous picture

If Im out taken pictures I tend to take a lot
as with digital it doesnt cost anything extra. That
way I might get lucky and get a few what I consider
good shots.
