That has the be the buggiest site I've ever seen.
NO!
It's wonky more often than not. That's why I spend much more time on Live Journal.

I do all my journalling on LiveJournal.

I avoid MySpace as if it were one of those annoying little snot-nosed brats trying to sell magazines door-to-door.

I don't think I've ever had much of a problem at myspace...but then I'm not sure I'm really using it right anyway *L*

It's useful for promo though.

I know quite a few writers who do just that EL, but I'm wondering if it really does work for promo?

The site in itself is not buggy at all, from what I've seen. It's the addons and crap that users who have no idea what they're doing put on their pages that bugs them out to the point of no return. There are clean, good looking and fully functional Myspace pages out there.

My band got pre-orders for our coming release through there, whithout even announcing that it was in the making.

Yeah, it really does. It always attracts a few people to my chat events anyways and it helps me keep up with othe erotica writers and events I might miss out on otherwise. :)

Liar - very cool. :)

Excellent. I was wondering about that. It does sound like Myspace is good promo all around. I need to be more confident in my writing and submit stories/poetry. I got a rejection letter one time on erotic poetry I submitted 3 years ago (first attempt) and never attempted it again.

I'm such a wuss. ;)

That's great. Myspace is a real boon for musicians. I know I search bands and discover new ones every time I change my music on my profile.

im wishy washy on the whole thing. i usually only blog when im angsty so its a good venting space for me and i really love keeping in touch with friends ...lol... even if it is to leave them a silly comment. 'sides which, i can't get onto lit from work.

I regularly get a white error screen when trying to go to a friend's blog (regular blog, no crap added in). I'm wondering if that's because it's trying to shunt me over to the UK site instead of letting me go to the US one, though, because it tries to do that regularly, too.

I've been trying to pimp up my MySpace page.

With a remarkable lack of success so far. I'm kinda phobic about coding these days.

i can do this for you if you would like. vella.ms@gmail.com
send me the code and i can place it on your page for you...or walk you through the steps.. its pretty easy. i get rid of the advertising icons and all that blah be blah so my page isn't so garbled.
any way, lemme know. might not be until tonight since im moving office today.

Thanks, vella.

All I really want is to add some spot so I can pimp my books. Something where I can put up the covers and they're clickable so people can go buy my books.

I have a rough idea of how to do it, but like I said, I'm kinda phobic about coding these days.

*purrs*

Thank you. I've been seriously thinking about submitting something this year, at least a few poems.

True.

I often have trouble logging in, though...

It's better than it was 6 months ago.

It is, and always has been, an awful site from a design standpoint. The creators have more or less admitted they just threw a bunch of stuff up to see what stuck. Its success is more based on being in the right place at the right time, and catching "critical mass", where enough people were on myspace that pretty much everyone within a certain demographic heard of it and felt obligated to create a page. That and it's popular with high schoolers, who become college kids, etc.

Livejournal and Blogger are far better blogging tools. Facebook is a better designed social networking site.

In other words, MySpace is the Microsoft of the internet age.

It got there through blind luck. ;)

Myspace is officially a piece of shit. I just stay because more people I know are members there than any other blog-space. Blogging has become my new journaling. I'll stick it out until I have time to orchestrate a massive move to a new place with all my buddies. :)

I just joined Facebook, so I'll see how I like it. :)
