He knew it was wrong, but he knew that his sister was still asleep, so he opened the door and poked his head inside, staring at her sleeping body. The blanket had fallen off in the night, leaving her in her pantie bottoms and large T-shirt that went down to her thighs. Jake stood there for another moment, frozen in his tracks as she left the bathroom by the other door. Finally, thought returned to him and he hurried downstairs to the den. He plugged his headphones into the speakers and opened the media player, flicking to his favorite playlist and logging onto his online game.

Jake finished up his breakfast a little later, getting up and taking their plates to the sink. Part of him was glad Emily had left for school, giving him some time to himself.
