I was wondering what the ladies think about piercing your clit?
As I am bi and married I know what my hubby thinks......go for it but I was wondering what the women think. I have already pierced both my nipples and my hubby and I love them. Since it hardly hurt at all to get my nipples pierced I am seriously thinking about getting my clit done. So.........let me know what you think.

Purpleflower:rose:

First of all, I would recommend that you have your clit hood pierced and not your clit. A clit piercing WILL lead to decreased sensitivity over a period of a few years (according to many resources I've read, and my own piercer), and no woman could possibly want that. Whether or not that's true in all cases, I don't know, but I'd say it's better to be safe than sorry.

That being said, a vertical hood piercing is wonderful. Like you, I, too, have had my nipples pierced. (I love them.) After I had those pierced, I got my hood pierced. The bottom of the barbell rubs against my clit, creating a wonderful sensation when I walk, or when it's played with. (And I don't have to worry about ever losing sensation in my clit!) Right after I had it done, I actually had an orgasm while walking through the mall with my boyfriend!

One more thing--my nipples didn't hurt that much when I had them done, but be prepared to see stars for a second when the needle goes through your hood. There are far more nerve endings there than in your nipples. I don't tell you this to scare you or discourage you, just to prepare you. Anyway, the pain only lasts for a split second until the needle is through. After that, it doesn't hurt at all, unless you accidentally hit it or something.

This particular piercing is also a very easy one to care for. It heals quickly, and, as the vagina/vulva is relatively clean on its own, it is not as prone to infection as, say, a tongue piercing. I only had to clean mine twice a day, as opposed to six times a day with the nipple piercings.

Good luck! :rose:

~Tangent--Although I've never been with a woman with a genital piercing, I find them very sexy. I love mine; my girlfriend loves mine; and my boyfriend loves mine!

Thanks for the tip about the placement of the peircing!!!!!!!!!!! I definately don't want to lose any sensitivity there. The whole point of it is to get more good feelings. A question about the nipple peircings, did you catch yourself playing with them alot? My hubby says I do. LOL

LOL, I catch myself playing with both the nipple piercings and the hood piercing a lot--especially the hood piercing. Even when it isn't sexual at all, it's still fun to slide the barbell up and down! :D

Oh, I'm glad I found this thread.

As a bi girl, I find clit-area piercings somewhat appealing on most women.

As a piercing freak, I say GO FOR IT--do it. I'll race you--I'm pretty sure I'm going to get a triangle (get my triangle done? What is the proper syntax for that act?) in about a year.

Having pierced my nipples and loved them dearly, I do find that I play with them a bit, but not as much as my guy friends who have theirs done play with theirs. They can get away with it around other people more easily than I can! Not fair.

I loved the story!!!!!!!!!!!
Was is all or partially true or just fantasy?

How bad does peircing the tongue hurt? I'd love to get it done but being older (34) and in nursing (I work in a nursing home) I'm not sure how well that would go over. Plus, I'm having a hard enough time hiding my nipple peircings from my young children (2 & 5). I am usually pretty free with being naked but I have been wearing a shirt all the time since I've been done.

Hmmmm....where aren't I pierced...lol

all I can say is that I have a horizontal ring in my clit hood, and it too is fantastic,
it great to play with them and my 3! nipple piercings.

I personally love the sight of them, so I thought why not try it myself....all I can say is oodles of pleasure!

My friend has her tongue pierced and has no problems at all with it. Very sexy to kiss as well.

We work as Library Assistants and no-one at work has even commented on it. So long as you don't keep sticking your tongue out at people there's no need for them to know.

The tongue piercing isn't that bad, just make sure you don't have to talk to anyone the next day in case it swells a lot :( No yelling at the kids (my son (5) loved it, two days without me telling him off too much ;)) And it's great fun to play with, hubby loves the feeling, and you can even get soft silicon covers for the bead, so they're nice and tickly... can't wait to try that out on my g/f!

People don't tend to notice the tongue unless I want them to. You can always wear a clear acrylic retainer when you're at work, if you're really worried about it.

Is there any particular reason you're hiding the nipple rings from your kids? Danny knows about our piercings, and is already planning what he'll get done when he grows up ;) I personally prefer him to know, firstly so he'll be a bit more careful when jumping around on us, secondly because I want him to accept that it's not just something 'strange' people do... which can be the assumption in small towns like ours. (not that I'm denying any strangeness, but Dan doesn't see it yet ;)).

I'm planning to get a vertical clit hood piercing, but I'm going to hospital in a month and need to remove all body jewellery, and don't want to risk the hole closing up if it's only new :( So I'll have to wait til afterwards! And my g/f is quite happy about me having sparkly bits 'down there ' :D

I think piercings on other girls are very nice too :) I'm just wary of getting them tangled up if we both have metal! *lol*

I agree with everyone's sentiments about tongue piercing--food was tough for me for the first four days or so, but aside from that, I could talk okay and since then it's one of my favourite piercings. Most people see mine, but I don't really care.

For the hospital, would they be okay if you retained your holes with fishing line or something? Because I know that if I took any of my piercings out, they'd either close entirely or go down in gauge. I've heard of people retaining with fishing line, and I'm sure there's more info on in around online, especially at bmezine.com. Anyway, best of luck with that.

BTW, to what story were you referring, purpleflower? I'd like to delude myself into thinking it was mine, but I'm not sure. If it was mine, it is based solely on fantasy, unfortunately. *sigh* But damn, my Spanish prof was hot.

I was wondering, Darkkalika, if you had a picture of your vertical clit hood piercing? I thought I would get a hoop to match my nipples but I like the sound of yours. It sounds wonderful and I would like to see what it looks like so I can make an informed choice. If you do could you post it for me or PM it to me?

Thanks,
Purpleflower :rose:

If anyone else would like to post pictures of thier piercings I would love to see them. If you want to see mine I will post it. Nipple ones for now and any others as they get done.

I'm not really sure why I'm hiding my piercings from my kids except maybe my amish background makes it hard, but obviously I've overcome it enough to get them done. I guess I will stop hiding it from my kids and I thank you so much for making me see the folly in hiding them.

I too have to go into the hospital but hope I don't have to remove my new nipple piercings. They are only a week old today. I have to get my knee scoped and I'm not sure if they put you right out for that.

Yes, a lot of soup was consumed in our household that first week of the tongue piercing. Now I tend to forget I even have it. I wear a retainer if I'm performing on stage, but don't bother otherwise, nobody seems to be offended by it.

I'm not sure about using a retainer if I had the vch piercing, but as the surgery is in that area, I don't think they'd be too happy about it. I figure I'll just wait, a few more weeks isn't going to make much difference to me! They definitely don't want me to keep the oral piercings (or any kind of retainer) in for safety reasons, with the general anaesthetic. I've told my husband he just has to put them in as soon as I get back from theatre, even if I'm still unconscious ;)

I also read a lot of stuff on bmezine.com, I was actually going to recommend to purpleflower that she look there if she is interested in pics of vertical clit hood piercings.

Now I feel a bit bad, I didn't mean to make you feel foolish for not showing your kids! I was just curious... but I'm glad you'll let them know, children are just so wonderfully accepting at their ages :)

As for the piercings and hospital, I don't imagine they will care about nipple rings if they're looking at your knee. I only have to remove my tongue ring so that the anaesthetist isn't worrying about me choking on a loose bead, etc. And the labret will get in the way of the equipment, so out it comes as well! Thankfully, mine are old enough now that they should be fine for an hour or so (and if they've closed a bit, I'll just put them back in while the anaesthetic still works, so it won't hurt as much ;))

Ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope it works out well for you.

What kind of performing do you do on stage?

Thanks, me too! :D And I hope your knee surgery goes ok, and that your doctor is understanding about piercings (I'm lucky that my gyn is wonderful about them, asks lots of questions!).

I act and sing, can't dance for anything though ;)

Just a thought about your tongue ring, with working in a nursing home - I have a friend with quite a few facial piercings, and none of the residents care. He's good at his job and a nice person. We have a lot of older customers here who just think it's funny that I've got piercings. I wouldn't recommend anything like an eyebrow or lip ring, as I know of someone who had one ripped out by a dementia patient, but the tongue is pretty safe!

Have fun :) If you get your VCH before me, let me know how it goes! And I strongly recommend reading up on them at bmezine.com, there's a lot of stories and information there.

Thanks alli_cat.

I did go to bmezine.com last night and had a good look around. I have made up my mind to get the horizontal clit hood ring. It will match nicely with my nipple rings.:D

a splash of cold water

hi all.. just wanted to say; i had my nipples pierced. it was wonderful. loved everything about it.. and then....
because im a water baby, they got infected. i suppose this happened because i live on the water and summer time.. im in it constantly.
anyway.. after surgery, i lost a whole cup size and gained a scar. so, keep that in mind. if you pierce, just make sure you dont go swimming in lake/river or questionable water until you heal.
the bright side is: it was one of the best experiences ive ever had and my Mistress loved them as much as i did. i will go for the clit hood this fall, after swimming weather is over.
*2 pennies

a splash of cold water

Thanks vella_ms for the advise.

I am a water baby too. I likely won't be going swimming in the lake until July so that should be ok. I think I will wait until fall to get my clit piercing now, though.

Purpleflower:rose:

Well just my 2 cents..;)

I am gonna be 29, am a nursing student(RN), and I have my tongue done...the only part that actually hurt was the clamp. Afterwards was prolly the worst for me...your tongue swells up for about the rest of that day, and you're not supposed to talk!:O yeah the roughest part for me...lol You have to eat soft foods for a few days, no biggie...and sucking on ice chips helped a great deal! You will have to rinse your mouth with regular listerine several times a day, especially after eating or drinking anything other than water, and i heard you have to do it after you smoke(if you do). As far as the tongue being noticable, well once the swelling is gone and you're used to it being there, most ppl cant really even tell. Just keep ur original silver barbell in while at work, it is less noticable.

Im sure others may have more advice or differed opinions but thats my personal advice...:)

I don't really go for piercings, so I'd vote no. But it's your body, so if you like it, go for it.

Thanks for vote Kat. I did ask and not everyone likes it so that is why I asked. Actually I wasn't sure I would like it either but now that I have started peircing I am addicted. My hubby likes it too otherwise I wouldn't be doing it.
