Does Disability Turn You Off?

If you see or meet a person of the opposite sex - or if you’re gay, of the same sex - who is disabled in some way, do you make any assumptions regarding their sexuality?

For instance, do you assume that he or she
i) is incapable of sexual activity
ii) has no sexual needs or desires

Do you consider a person to be undesirable solely because of their disability?
Do you find disability a turn-on?

Any comments would be of interest.

Not at all. If a woman in a wheelchair has got character and sex appeal I think I’d be interested regardless of her limitations - if any.

Not knowing about a disabled person’s life and sexuality leaves me with something more to discover, so it’s exciting.

My gf has a greater then 50 percent total hearing loss and I have no problem with it. She does not consider herself handicaped but does tend to call her hearing imparment a disablity.

Disability

As a man who has used a wheelchair since I was 15 (now 42) I have had a lot of experiences. There seems to be two main categories. Women who were interested in having sex with me because of my disability and women who were curious, but not willing.

More often it is the latter. Wish I had a dollar for ever time a woman has asked if I can have sex, or wanted to talk about how I am able to have sex, then is afraid to find out first hand.

For comments or replies my email is tkboner@yahoo.com

As a 20 year old male I havnt had the oppurtunity to have sex with someone with a disability. I would have no problem with it as long as the woman (or man) was capable, attractive, and not mentally handicapped.

sex + disability - yes please!

When I was in the UK a few years ago, I had a relationship with an English guy who was in a wheelchair. It was some of the best sex I’ve ever had (and I’ve had many men!). He was very creative and really knew how to please a woman - I’ve never had so many orgasms with a man before or since.

Nope, I sure dont.

Nope that isnt the first thing that crosses my mind.

ii) has no sexual needs or desires

Everyone has the needs and wants....

No I have seen some sexy men who have been disabled

Do you find disability a turn-on?

Nope, its not the disability that would turn me on,just the person

I've recently met a woman that is an amputee, she only has about 6" of her left leg left. She's a beautiful woman, and the positions we can get into is easier and more fun than a woman with two legs. Never realized how much a leg gets in the way of the real fun.

I don't think a disability should or would get in the way of great sex... I know for myself it wouldn't.... There are many kinds of physical disabilities, so depending on the type, and if needs be, just be creative!!!
