Hi, I am looking for someone who loves to write, and wants to fully explore the mind and thoughts of another human being. Yes, this is a strange forum in which to look for someone, but there aren’t many places left on the net to make an online friend in a platonic way. Yes, platonic, I have a man in my life that I love very much but for various reasons we can’t speak often. So this isn’t a sexual or romantic thing, just a friendship, someone to share my days with and you can speak about whatever is on your mind to me too – to take away the sting of loneliness that we all sometimes feel. I am open to talk about almost anything and happy to hear from people of any age, sex or race. I have always had a passion for the visual arts and nature but no topic is off limits. I do not care if you are married or single, gay or straight, happy or sad; I’d love to hear from you regardless. I am really only looking for one person to write, and develop what I hope will be a long standing friendship. I figure we can write a few times through here and then once comfortable we can exchange email addresses. I know asking someone to be an email pal is a kin to asking them to write on stone tablets these days, but this is my preferred mode of communication. Anyway, I am going to send this out into the ether and see what happens!

I think you may find what you want on this site:

I love to email

Dear SadAbstractMind my username is rogman692 and I would love to exchange emails. I saw your personal site and was knocked out by your art work. I used to draw and paint ..now I work in metal. Please let me know if you are still in the market for a penpal. I'm a fiftyfive year old man.
Thank you,
Rogman692

Does anyone email anymore?

Thank you Kinkenglish. She is talented have your Boucher reference...I assume you are comparing some of her work or artistic abilities to Francois Boucher. Thank you for the reply...have a great weekend. Maybe a very kinky weekend.

I am stunned right now. I would describe what I am looking for (and for a significant amount of time, I must say) but there is NO way I could explain better, what I feel. I am married. I want a platonic Email friendship. Messaging and pm-ing surely are nice- but to me the queen of non-live conversation will always be the Email. Especially because it is somewhat oldfashioned and a lot more open for real sentences, real thoughts expressed in a huge, sometimes (if we are lucky) beautiful complex way.

I so hope we click! PM me, if you like and we can proceed as you suggested.

Yes! I do! I would love someone to email with! I really did like your ad. So I'll send a PM today and we'll see what happens. I'll gladly give you my email and I do chat on Skype too (but not on cam, sorry) if you'd like to do that sometime but I really do want someone to email with. I very much appreciate long messages and interesting conversations. You're more than welcome to read my profile and whatever you want of my posts. I don't mind. And if we click I'd be very happy to have a conversation with you. I have a lot of varied interests so there are a lot of things we can talk about. There's no pressure. If we don't click or you don't want to chat just say so and it's cool. But I hope you do. Anyway, I'll PM you today and we'll see what happens. I hope your weekend is going well.

I believe that email, like writing, takes forethought and a belief that relationships, even cyber ones, are more about the mind than one-liners.

To exchange ideals as you are asking, is a throwback to pen pals where it was less about the instant and more about the message.

So yes, there are people out there who desire these exchanges. To get lost in the romance and intelligence of a person is the most sexual aspect of sex. I personally enjoy the exchanges even if they are merely diversions along the journey ....

I agree

Thank you...I agree completely. Emails and letters are far more romantic and erotic than quick.chats. I love sending and receiving letters and emails. I wait enthusiastically for each email and am excited when I see I have mail.

I must be getting old or maybe the world has moved on without me, I didn't think e mail was next to writing on stone tablets. So much more can be said in an email than an instant message or a text. Anyway I like to meet other people and you do seem to be a very interesting person although I'm not very artistic I do appreciate are. We all have had to deal with loneliness at various times and having someone to talk to does help.

I love to email. I've participated in a few email lists over the past several years, and through those I've developed a few friendships where we email one another on a regular basis. And we talk about anything and everything, our families, the good times and the bad.

On Lit, I had one guy I was emailing, but he stopped responding for some reason, guess he decided he didn't really like me or something. Oh, well :(
