Does anyone recognise this short story?

I read a collection of short stories quite a few years ago that I've not been able to track down since. The only story I remember (helpful, I know!) was about a woman who bought a locket which transformed her into the past - the most memorable was a nun who had burning candles placed on her body. I've even tried searching under the tag names but got so many results it was disheartening.

If anyone knows which book I'm talking about, please let me know - I would be soooo grateful as I really want to revisit that story!
