Hi there my Literotica peers. Ok, this is a groveling thread. *LOL* Just kidding, or hmmm, am I? Does anyone on this board read romance, or are most just into the kinky stuff and incest. I truly want to know?

I worked damn hard on my rewrites of my current stories in Lit as well as my newest, Summers' Day this past year. I am currently working on "New Beginnings" another awesome romance story. Phantom wrote a thread in Feedback awhile ago, and thus far only one has answered, so that leads me to wonder if anyone actually is interested in this category. Since putting them up, I have no clue if they are being read or liked for that matter. If anyone is or might be the least bit curious, please check out my links in the Feedback section under, "Check Out Katerina Val-Kyrie's Summer's Day" They are listed there. I promise you won't be disappointed.

I know this should not be on the General Thread, but I already have my "I Finally Did It Thread" on Authors...so this was my last resort to see what ppl are really interested in reading. Perhaps my blood, sweat and tears of joy...are all for the wrong reasons. Perhaps I am not writing what others want to read. Hell, I don't know. I know I feel good about my accomplishments, but I guess it's nice to know others are too.

Sorry for rambling....need to do that sometimes. Hugs KitKat

I confess KitKat that I have not ventured into the Romance section. I usually get bogged down in other sections first but I will try to get to your story and read it.

Thanx Tony...For easy access you can find the links in the Feedback section. There are four stories, not one, however. Hope you enjoy.

There's a romance section? :)

I assume that the romance section was purely heterosexual stuff - or it would be shoved into another section.

Hi Katerina,

I have written several romance stories. The readers
have rewarded me with a lot of high votes. The e-mail that I have received is evenly divided between men and woman.

When I first begin writing stories for this site, I was
under the impression that the readers were mostly young men.
That is not the case at all. Laurel probably has accurate
numbers, but I believe that half the readers are women, and that the medium age is forty.

For that reason, I believe, stories of romance, as apposed to just fuck details, receive the highest scores. That said, I am often fooled by the reader's reaction to a particular story.

Depends on my mood...

Some days, I am in a horny state of mind (and body) and I want something a bit more wild than a romantic story. But then there are days when I feel a bit more whimsical and needy and I turn to the romance stories.

The romantic stories, I find, are generally better reads. It seems to me that in a romantic story, sometimes you need more character development and plot to make the romance sincere. And, for that reason, I don't venture into the romantic story section unless I'm in the right frame of mind and I have a significant amount of time to devote to the story.

I have read your earlier stories before, Kat, but I haven't read the rewrites. And I haven't read all of Summer's Day. I'll read it when I get a chance.

I know your stories have gotten high acclaim before, Kat. Don't worry, the feedback will come in. :)

Thanks so much gals for enlightening me. Just what I needed to hear. Everyone needs romance once in awhile. Hugs KitKat

I don't read the romance stories, but then again, I haven't read many stories at all lately.

I will tell you that a lot of the "fans" who wrote me about "Hostile Takeover" mentioned that they liked how the hot sex and the sweet romance were intertwined. They liked a nasty non-consent story turning into a romance. I think it's human nature to want a happy ending.

As for feedback, you can't expect everyone who likes your story to take the time to tell you so. I've liked plenty of stories, but I don't always write the author. Sometimes I'm too busy. Sometimes I just didn't like it ENOUGH to warrant a note. Something has to be truly outstanding in some way to cause me to write a fan letter.

So, don't assume that a lack of feedback means your story sucks.
