No, WH, Gone Fishin' by Weezer is not the song he's looking for. Weezer doesn't do rap songs and the song me and laurel are discussing only connection to the Muppets is in the music video. It doesn't sample the theme song.

It's a very old song that samples the whole hook of the Muppet Show. I don't know if this is the same song you heard because I don't know who would be playing it on the radio. If it's something new, then I haven't heard it before.

The song must be pretty rare, I am having a lot of trouble finding it on Kazaa.

It was a broadcast right from a club, so that could explain why it was an old song on the radio. Club DJs tend to mix it up a little more than radio DJs do.

Do a search on NZ music. A New Zealand rap group did a track a while back that sounds like what you're looking for. It also samples Animal the drummer from Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem doing the Manamana song.
