I rented the movie Rumblefish expecting to see a slightly different movie. Was there a sequel? The movie I though it was going to be had Patrick Swayze in it, and one of the charactors I remember was Pony Boy... Does this make sense to anyone?

The Outsiders is what you're thinking of. Great movie, great book.

(It was written by the same author, so you were close!)

Stay Gold Ponyboy ;)

Dammit I cant remember where i saw it but some show recently has characters discussing pony boy and the outsiders..

I saw one once. It's hazy, but I think there was someone in it, and they had a problem of some kind. There was some conflict, but then at the end everything worked out. I think I liked it, though I can't be sure. Maybe I'll see one again someday.

I can still recite all of Nothing Gold Can Stay because of that movie.

:D

I know it by heart..

NOTHING GOLD CAN STAY
~Robert Frost~

Natures first green is gold
Her hardest hue to hold
Her early leafs a flower
But only so an hour
Then leaf subsides to leaf
So Eden sank to grief
So dawn goes down to day
Nothing gold can stay

They were the greasers, and the soc's (preps to my school age people) didn't like that Cherry like a greaser, so they started some shit, and Pony Boy and his bud killed someone, so they ran away. Then, they saved some kids, and yada yada yada...

Great cast, Emilio Estevez, Patrick Swayze, Ralph Machio, Rob Lowe, Matt Dillon, Tom Cruise.... :)

Not a bad movie or book, imho. Rather good reading. I had to read it in either 6th, or 7th grade, or somewhere around there. :)

Yes, TC was

So were Emilio Estevez and C. Thomas Howell (who received billing over both Cruise and Estevez).

I can not read a post by Laurel without imagining that cat in her AV doing the talking. It just looks as if it has something to share.
