Does anyone know how to add "favorites" in the new page?

I have a bunch of stories I've favorited in order to read at a later date but they are not showing up in the new page and I can not figure out how to get them there.

Has anyone figured it out yet?

At one point we're pretty sure there was a plus + sign next to the following so you could add more. It appears to be missing. There are similar plus signs on the Reading Lists. At the moment, there doesn't appear to be a way to manage your favorite list. (Firefox 51.0.1 64-bit on Ubuntu 16.10).

Sorry for any confusion! :D

You can see all of the Stories you have Favorited by going to the Reading Lists tab in the new Lit Control Panel:
https://literotica.com/my/#/lists

There are lots of possible custom Lists there, but the two default lists are Favorites and Read Later. Click on any list title to see the list of stories inside the list.

If you want to see the Authors that you are Following, you can check the Following tab.

If you want to see the recent stories by the authors you are following, check the My Home > Authors Activity tab.

Let me know if you can't find the stories on your Reading Lists! :D

Once again, mine does not work. When I go to the reading list and click "favorites" it tells me I do not have this reading list. If I try to add something by clicking on the + sign it tells me it doesn't recognize any stories with that title even when I copy and past the title.

I've also noticed that when I click to favorite a story it rarely shows up on the old list now as well.

The trick about holding the shift key and hitting reload worked to get the page back. Do you have a similar trick to get a reading list going?

I'm using Windows 10 on a Dell laptop and Chrome.

There doesn't appear to be a way to add authors as favorite or following.

There also doesn't appear to be a way to add/manage author from the Reading List

Is there a page similar to https://www.literotica.com/members/add_favorites.php?type=author

On the new public site, which is not rolled out yet, it will be easier to Follow authors. But you can Follow authors right now by Favoriting them on their profile pages.

Most readers add authors from Author Profile pages or Story Pages. In the future, you will be able to Follow authors even more easily from Story Pages. It's also possible to use Lit Search to find authors and then click their names to go to their profile and Favorite/Follow them.

We definitely could re-add some kind of dedicated author search in the future, but I'm not sure how much it will benefit people over the new public Lit Search, which also has Author Search built in.

If many Lit members use the page you linked a lot, we will consider re-adding it.

Thank you for the feedback! :D

Sorry about the issue, I'm definitely interested in what's going wrong.

What do you see when you go here:

And here?

Thank you for your help and sorry again for the problems!

Both work fine for me. I see all the stories I've favorited, along with their data. For the first link, I also see a to be read list.

Btw, for the Recent Activity list, can you make the heart and conment bubble bigger, or with a more pronounced color so they stand out more easily?

Also, on the phone, the heart and comment bubble don’t appear. Will they ever be added to the phone?

Manu,

Will the Android APP be updated at any point?

It seems that a lot of the PC functionality is not available on the app.

I've always had the impression (and will be glad if you could confirm or correct it) that a majority of readers use the app to view stories.

Another question: My panel shows that a few people have 'favorited' my story, but I can't see who they are. I have to go to the old panel to get that information.

Am I missing something..?

This is a copy and paste of what the screen looks like after I've clicked on "Favorites." Under favorites it says I have 535 stories. That's wrong. I don't have anywhere near that in my favorites list. I made my own list seeing if I could start adding stories to my own but that doesn't work either. When I add a title it doesn't recognize the title even when I copy and paste it from the actual story.

Favorite Stories

535 stories.
My all-time favorite stories I've read on Literotica.

You haven't added any stories to this reading list yet.

This is what I get after trying to add a story in my own created list.

I sure hope you don't take the old system down before you get this one up and running!

We think it would be highly valuable for everyone involved if Lit were to get author feedback on how their stories/works appear on the new public site as soon as possible.

Thank you for the info.

If I understand correctly, you can see the Favorites list, but when you click the title, there is no Favorites list data? Also, it shows that you have 500+ Favorite stories, but you believe that you have far less than that?

We are working on this right now, trying to figure out what's going on.

Thank you again. :D

100% agree! :D

Almost everything that we do on Lit's front end development is guided by author and reader feedback, as well as data on how features are actually used on the site every day. Even though I don't post here on the forum every day, we get feedback and interact daily with both readers and authors.

The big interface changes that are happening on the public site (not yet rolled out) are largely driven by reader demand. Readers have been asking for a mobile-friendly Lit experience for several years now. We do not see as much feedback from authors asking specifically about a mobile-friendly Lit experience, but authors are increasingly looking for ways to build a following of dedicated readers on Lit (often so they can sell them ebooks). The way we can help authors build their number of followers is to keep readers happy and to bring new readers to the site.

It isn't always easy to balance author and reader requests, but we will keep trying! :D

The new "Author's Activity" tab (soon to be "My Authors Activity") is a feature which perfectly blends both Lit Author and Lit Reader requests, BTW.

Lit Readers have been asking for a way to subscribe to/follow authors that they like and be notified when those authors publish new stories.

Lit Authors have been asking for a way to notify their followers when they release a new story - and a way to send out news/updates to their followers.

The "My Authors" tab will allow both of those requests to become a reality.

It's rare that a single feature is able to fulfill high volume requests from both Authors and Readers, but this one will. :D

Sounds like a win-win to me!

So far everything works great for me, although I would like a darker color for the words in the new format. My old eyes have a hard time with the pale blue.

Any idea when we'll see the new site?

Gee don't you add stories and Authors over on the story or the authors of the story just like you used to do?

When I favorite a story it shows up in both dashboards.

Yes, Zeb...

That's the way it's supposed to work. It appears to work fine for some and not at all for others. I fit in the latter category.
