Does anyone know anything about Altissimus?

He hasn't been around since last March. I used to notice him frequently.

I don't know anything, but his Author page explains that he's not focusing on Lit right now and is publishing elsewhere. He has a Patreon page and also mentions that you can send him an email via the Contact Author page and he will respond.

I do. He let me read one of his novels that was under consideration for publishing and it was brilliant. Then the so-called-publisher requested some changes so stupid it would have been ruined. He refused to alter it, and I respect that.

The guy never sleeps so if you reach out at any hour, he’ll respond right away. Great person, excellent writer.

No, sorry, but I do miss him on here. When I first started writing he was kind enough to spare the time to give me some good advice.

I had asked in the forum about him a few months back and a couple of days later he commented on one of my stories. He's around. He's not one of the older in poor health members of our crowd, at least as far as I know.

Good guy to talk writing with. Knows his stuff and can be objective.

He's around just not on Lit. We talk pretty often and I'm beta reading some of the novels he's working on right now.

Sometimes people simply move on from here. Priorities change, time limits (Imagine he falls under these two) personal life, etc...

I stopped posting here once around Oct 2018 and came back in 2020 and TBH I ended up back here because lockdown had my life down to work, then home any other time, so I got bored. My initial reason for taking time off was to finish a novel some personal stuff going on, and to be honest not thrilled with things here at the time, so why tick myself off?

There is a time wasting factor here we all joke about, there is a community here and we have friends here, but I also think-because this is where I often am=that coming here becomes a habit, and not really a bad one, just something we keep doing because we always do it. When people like Altissimus move on I find myself thinking good for them-as long as its not for a negative reason-and even a bit envious in some ways.

I wish him luck with his novels and endeavors.
