I have always wondered:

How do they find the girls and guys?

How much are they paid?

Do the producers or directors get to "interview" or "rehearse" with them?

What are a lot of pornstars like offscreen?

Aren't all these hardcore anal scenes painful?!

Do pornstars get tricked or taken advantage of?

Are a lot of them on drugs?

I cant think of any others right now.

No, but made a documentary about the porn industry in Scandinavia a few years back.
Very different compared to the American industry - much more laid back, given the Scandinavian liberalism. So my answers are regional...

-How do they find the girls and guys?
Ads in the papers, word of mouth.

-How much are they paid?
For low-budget films in a studio - circa 100-200 euros for a day. Unless you are well-known and then you can get up to 1000 euros a day.

- Do the producers or directors get to "interview" or "rehearse" with them?
No, it's all very professional. Although many producers and directors date the girls.

-What are a lot of pornstars like offscreen?
Normal people who pay their taxes.

-Aren't all these hardcore anal scenes painful?!
I guess they get used to it.

-Do pornstars get tricked or taken advantage of?
Not really. All very professional.

-Are a lot of them on drugs?
Hash, pot, but those are legal, at least in Denmark. And decriminalized in the rest of Scandi.

No, a script doctor doesn't show up on site. To be a script doctor you need to show your talent as a writer in such things... stories on Lit wouldn't be a good start... You need to show that you know when to have them say "Oh baby" instead of "oh God" and when to have a facial or and anal scene.

Liberal studios will let you draw some crude sketches to get an idea to the director, much like storyboards, but pay attention to the lines, red lines and white lines, directors get reallly po'd.

I'm convinced that 95% of the big wigs in the porno industry are creatively and/or mentally retarded, most porn that I've seen is as dull and predictable as it is tasteless. Is it the fault of the buyer, or the seller? Or both?
