Does anyone have any good brandy snifting stories?

Although you can use 'em for any drink if you bother. Haven't drank from a snifter in a while. Kinda brings out the snooty in ya.

I've been collecting a wide variety of crystal stemware in the same pattern. I have a lot of different styles and I'm not even sure what some of them are for. None of them are quite a brandy snifter, but I have some water goblets that are balloon style that would work.
